5th Wheel Trailer Hitches that Fit Directly in Factory 5th Wheel Prep Package on a 2011 Ford F-450
Question:
My F -450 was bought with the towing package for gooseneck or 5th wheel hitch. What model Reese hitch do I need and how does it install?

There are several 5th wheel hitches that will fit directly in the 4 pucks in your 2011 Ford F-450 Super Duty with the 5th wheel prep package including 3 from Reese. These hitches have what are essentially 4 heavy duty T-bolts that fit down in the pucks. You then turn handles attached to the these bolts (called T-pins) so that they lock into the pucks.
You can use any of the following hitches directly in the puck system:
Reese # RP30871 rated for 27,000 pounds
Curt # C16545-16017 rated for 24,000 pounds
Demco # DM8550033 rated for 21,000 pounds
Curt # C16530-16017 rated for 20,000 pounds
B&W # BWRVK3300 rated for 20,000 pounds
Reese # RP30921 rated for 20,000 pounds
Curt # C16520-16017 rated for 16,000 pounds
Out of these options customers like the B&W hitch # BWRVK3300 for its durability and ease of use. The most popular Reese option is # RP30922 which has the highest capacity of all the options. I have linked video reviews of all of these hitches for you.
