Recommended Trucks To Tow Fifth Wheel Trailer

We have ordered a new camper one on lot weight is 20500 and need to know whats best to pull this with. Getting two many mix answers.

If you want to tow a 5th wheel trailer, the best trucks are going to be long bed 3/4 or 1 tons like a Ford F-250/F-350, Chevy/GMC 2500/3500, or Ram 2500/3500. I also recommend going with a long bed truck so you have enough clearance when making sharper turns.

A diesel engine has more towing power and torque, so that may be an option you go for.

If you get an automatic transmission you will want to make sure the vehicle has a transmission cooler.

If you choose a Ford I recommend the Curt hitch # C16245 with the custom installation kit # C16545-16017.

If you go with a Ram 3500 I recommend the Curt Hitch # C16245 and the Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # C16427-204.

If you want a Chevrolet 3500 I recommend the Curt hitch # C16245 and the # C16411-204 custom installation kit.

For truck-bed wiring I also recommend part # 41157 for any of the mentioned vehicles.
