2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

This is my first hitch. I decided to go this route after finding out the dealership wanted over 1500 to install rails hitch and plug.
Install was not too aweful bad I did the install in about 4 hours of everything. I took my time so nothing would be screwed up. The install videos where awesome and very discriptive.

Products arrived in Alaska within a couple of days of making the order online. Easy to find the product needed on the website. Great installation instructions, both video and written. Perfect fit with no fuss.

  • Recommended Curt Sliding Fifth Wheel Hitch for 2007 Dodge Ram Short Bed
To tow a fifth wheel trailer with your 2007 Dodge Ram with a 6-1/2 foot bed you will need to install base rails in your truck bed in order to mount a Curt sliding hitch. Base rails come with installation kits and there are two different options for an '07 Dodge Ram, depending on the model of your truck; I will list the kits and you can select the right one. Keep in mind these kits come with both the base rails and frame brackets so you do not need to purchase them separately. - 2007 Dodge...

  • Replacing Factory 7-Way and In-Bed 7-Way Trailer Connectors on a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500
For your 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 with factory 7-Way you can use 5th wheel/gooseneck wiring harness # C56071 for a 7-foot-long model or # C56001 for a 10-foot model. For the rear 7-Way you can use 7-Way # PK11893 if the harness on the back of your 7-Way is the standard round US car connector. If it isn't then you would also need # PK11998 and would need to hardwire it in by function by testing the wires on the truck with a circuit tester such as # PTW2993. The functions of harness # PK11998...

  • 5th Wheel Hitch Type and Installation Kit for 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Short Bed
If the hitch from the 2017 Ram is intended for the factory puck system, such as the B&W # BWRVK3670, then it cannot be installed in a truck with standard 5th wheel base rails. Your 6-foot bed Ram 2500 needs to use a sliding-type 5th wheel hitch like Curt # C16541 in order to have the turning clearance required to avoid the trailer overhang contacting the truck cab. The easiest base rail installation in your 2006 Ram 2500 will be with a custom install kit that requires less drilling. I...

  • Custom 5th Wheel Hitch Installation Kit for 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Mega Cab with 6-Foot Bed
For your 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Mega Cab with 6-foot bed I recommend a custom-fit 5th wheel installation kit that will reduce your install time. The lowest-price option currently is the Curt # C16420-204 which includes the base rails, custom under-bed brackets and hardware. You can refer to the linked video for a complete illustration of the installation process. If you need a 5th wheel wiring harness for the truck bed you can use part # C56001 Since your truck is a short bed, slider type...

  • Is a Sidewinder Pin Box Compatible With a B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch?
To use any Sidewinder pin box, you will not be able to keep your B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck hitch because it is not made for the torque when turning required for that system. No adapter will solve this. However, there is still a way to allow you to tow a gooseneck trailer using a 5th wheel rail kit. You have a couple options. If you want to keep a clean bed, then you can use the Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit for Reese Elite Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP30074 to give you...

  • Best Underbed Fifth Wheel Towing Setup Recommendation for a 1995 Dodge Ram 2500
For an underbed fifth wheel setup confirmed to fit your 1995 Dodge Ram 2500 with an 8 foot bed you would want the B and W Companion hitch setup that consists of part numbers # BWRVK3500-5W for the fifth wheel hitch and then part # BWGNRK1394-5W for the underbed kit. This is the only underbed setup available for your truck, but the great news is that the Companion hitch is often referred to as the best fifth wheel hitch around. You will really like this hitch and it costs less than the...

Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector - 10' Long Item # C56001 is designed to fit if your 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 came with a factory installed 7-Way trailer connector. It plugs in line with the factory connectors and provides a second 7-Way connector you can mount in the truck bed (or anywhere that it will reach). The Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16265 referenced in your question is compatible with standard, above-bed base rails. If there are standard, above-bed base rails installed on both the 2005 and 2006 Dodge Ram 3500, then this hitch will technically fit either truck. However, since you mentioned that your truck has a shorter, 6 foot bed, it is instead recommended to use a sliding 5th-wheel hitch in order to provide proper clearance when making turns. I recommend looking at the Curt...

  • Replacement OEM Plug Adapter for 7-Way on 2010 Dodge Dakota Big Horn
The correct OEM replacement for the 7-way wiring harness on your 2010 Dodge Dakota is the # PK11933. If your 7-way was damaged when it melted you can replace both using the # HM40975-11933. There is no option that comes with a built in T that would allow you to run 5th wheel/gooseneck wiring. The only option would be to buy a complete wiring harness and add it in like the # C56001 you were looking at.

  • Recommended Fifth Wheel Install Bracket/Rail Kit for 1997 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually
Actually, B & W Hitch offer a reasonably priced 5th wheel bracket/rail kit that works with industry standard rail compatible hitches like your Husky. I'd recommend the # BWRVR3200 install kit. The bed rails are compatible with hitches from Reese, Draw-Tite, Husky, Curt , B & W, Demco and Valley among others. If you don't already have a 7-way trailer connector in the truck bed, you can install one using part # C56001

The one I recommend is the B&W kit # BWGNRK1394. An install video is provided. This is a custom fit kit which does not require drilling into your frame. You can make all modifications to your bed without it on your truck. Yes, the two are absolutely compatible! You do have the correct fit for the B&W Gooseneck as well as the Companion slider for your 1999 Dodge Ram, and the two will work together superbly; the two parts you need are the following: - Custom Underbed Installation Kit for B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWGNRK1394-5W - B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Slider # BWRVK3400-5W While the title says "Custom Underbed Installation Kit" this is the B&W Turnoverball gooseneck hitch,...

We do have 5th wheel hitch installation kits that include the frame brackets, hardware and hitch base rails. • Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch and Installation Kit for 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Mega Cab Pickup
The main benefit of a 5th wheel hitch that has a 4-way pivoting head is easier hitching and un-hitching. The ability to pivot in all directions means the head will be better able to shift as required to accept the king pin, and of course to release it too. Ride quality is not so much a benefit of this feature. Since your trailer has a Lippert Turning Point pivoting pin box for improved turning clearance you can use a fixed (non-sliding and non-cushioned) type 5th wheel hitch. For an above-bed...

  • Troubleshooting Short to Battery Message with Prodigy P3 Controller When it Rains
Water is seeping into the new 7-way most likely and is causing a short between the 12 volt output circuit and the brake output circuit. The water is somehow getting introduced into the round connector behind the 7-way. It could also be at the 7-way at the rear of the vehicle too. I'd recommend taking the connector apart to allow it to dry and then using dielectric grease like part # 11755 which will prevent the water from getting back in.
