Is a Sidewinder Pin Box Compatible With a B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch?

Question:

I have a BandW turnover ball installed in My 2008 Dodge 2500, I tow goose necks regularly, and I also have a fifth wheel that is set up with a anderson hitch, I would like to switch over to a sidewinder pin box, and a regular fifth wheel hitch, is there a mounting system that can be installed while retaining the turnover ball any suggestions? Thanks

To use any Sidewinder pin box, you will not be able to keep your B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck hitch because it is not made for the torque when turning required for that system. No adapter will solve this. However, there is still a way to allow you to tow a gooseneck trailer using a 5th wheel rail kit.

You have a couple options. If you want to keep a clean bed, then you can use the Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit for Reese Elite Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP30074 to give you the pucks like the newer factory options. This will only be compatible with the Ford Factory hitches based on dimensions, but it is a confirmed fit for your truck. Then I recommend the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Ford Towing Prep Package # RP30921. Then you will use the Elite Gooseneck # RP30845 for your gooseneck.

Finally, with either option, I recommend wiring harness # C56001 to add a second 7-way to the bed of your truck for easy connection for your gooseneck or 5th wheel.

That is a lot of info, so let me know if you have questions.
