This oversize hook is meant for big jobs that use big ropes, chains, and straps. With a working load limit of 35,000 lbs it's strong enough to handle the load capacity of your truck's 2" hitch. That makes it suited for farming, oil rigging, mining, and logging.
It's made of forged, high-strength steel and has a black powder coat that resists rust. The spring-loaded clasp secures your straps, chains, or ropes to the hook so it doesn't slip off.
It installs easily in your 2" hitch receiver. Simply slide it into your 2: hitch and secure it with a hitch pin (sold separately).

What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out this Bulldog Winch Big Dog Oversized Hook. It's gonna go on your two inch by two inch hitch and give you a tow hook to use that'll work with pretty much any size strap. Let's check it out. I'm gonna show you for scale, this is a normalized tow hook here versus our oversized one. It's gonna be made out of forged steel with a black powder coat finish.
You don't have to worry about damaging this thing at all. You're gonna have a spring loaded clasp here too, so that's gonna help catch whatever strap you're gonna put in there, that's gonna go behind it and make sure it doesn't pop back out. It works really easily. You see, just put the strap in there with one hand. It pushes down on the claps.
Now it's in place and can't pop back out of there. So it's gonna be really good for using a strap like this. You don't have to worry about the hook failing whatsoever. We're gonna have a weight capacity of 35,000 pounds, so just keep that in mind with what you wanna tow but that'll hold up to quite a lot. To give you a better idea of what kind of rope or chain or straps you can use, it's gonna be four by two and one eighth here inside the hook of usual space.
Overall, it's gonna be a really sturdy tow hook, also stands out on the back of your truck, so if you think it looks cool, you can go for that as well. It's gonna take up a little more space if you don't leave it in the hitch all the time. But the one nice thing is it's weight capacity. You're not gonna have to worry about what you're pulling or who's trying to pull you out. Well, I think that does it.

This is an amazing product, would recommend to anyone that wants to make their truck look like a beast, works great with all size tow straps, can get some serious work done, fits perfect with a traditional 2 inch hitch, 5/8s pin fits perfect, i recommend buying a locking pin with your purchase of this hook,

Great looking hook. I just got it yesterday so I haven't had a chance to use it yet. As heavily built as it is, I'm sure it will work great for pulling things with my pickup.
I received my Big Dog Hook today and this hook is awesome. I never imagined it would be this huge and solid. I can’t wait to put it to good use. And the ordering process and delivery (sooner than I thought) was awesome as well.

Great item at a great price
I recieved this a few days ago. It came in a nicely packed, sturdy box. After opening it up and seeing it for myself, I have to say the quality is awesome! Its a HEAVY shackle. The matte finish on the reciever end is superb (this piece must weigh about 7-10 lbs on its own). The shackle itself has a nice galvanized coating, and weighs about 6-7 lbs! Overall I think it is an awesome addition to any truck, looks great and has all the functionality that you'll probably need out of a shackle. 5/5 would reccomend!
