Hi, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the GSI Outdoor Camping Tea Kettle. Now, this tea kettle is a nice sturdy stainless steel construction. It holds about one liter of liquids, so roughly about four cups of tea maybe. And as far as dimensions and everything, it's got an overall length from side to about the tip of that spout at about 6-1/2 inches long, give or take. As far as a height, overall height to about the top of the handle here is about four inches.
And up here on the very top, we're gonna call that about 6-1/2 inches tall. It does only weigh 9.28 ounces, so it's pretty light, very nice, sturdy stainless steel construction. The lid comes off really easily, handle folds down in case you wanna store it more space. It's a solid one piece stainless steel construction, so there's no welds on it anywhere or anything like that. We don't have to worry about them leaking or anything.
My only caution would be that obviously this is all one metal piece, so if you're gonna pick it up, obviously you wanna wear like a glove or a pot holder or something like that. Even this little guy here is gonna get super hot if you're putting this let's say on a campfire or a stove top or whatever. Some people have told us that you can put one of those little bitty fuel canisters inside here, so if you wanna have a extra storage space whenever you're packing it up or whatnot, that's an idea as well. Well, that's gonna take a look at the GSI Outdoor Camping Tea Kettle stainless steel. Again, I'm Steven.

I have two of these (this one and one with silicone on the handles) and they have been awesome! I use it every day for my coffee (I use an Aeropress). The volume is great for two presses of my Aeropress or plenty for a Mountain House meal (you could probably hydrate 2 Mountain House meals). I have not used this over a campfire but do use it on a propane stove and electric stove with no issues. I have not cooked a meal in it but the lid is large enough. We have pretty hard water so the scale does build up though chuck it into the dishwasher and most of the scale will come off. Very pleased with both of my GSI kettles.
I use this as my everyday kettle with my aeropress and moka pot. It’s the right size to heat quickly and unlikely to bend/crush after continued home and camping use. Can pack other things in it for light (if not ultralight) packing. Very few gripes… A little hard to clean the hard water evidence from the inside bottom of the kettle, and the lid can fall off if pouring the last bit out of the kettle. In the whole it’s great.

Really happy with this purchase, product was exactly what I expected.

Exactly what I expected, and pours cleanly...no dribbles. Handle locks into place when straight up, and lid fits well enough to pour. I needed the compact size and stainless steel, and it serves the purpose well.
Fast shipping on a hard to find item, etrailer is the only place that had this stainless steel kettle at a reasonable price.
