Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a brief look at this Valterra RV City water inlet. This replacement check valve is going to solve your problem with a broken, leaky city water inlet on your trailer or motor home. And this half inch mpt brass check valve is going to feed into your freshwater lines, preventing pressurized water from back flowing out of the inlet. And this included cap that you see right here is going to insert into the inlet to keep it clean when you're not using it. And it's a nice, tight fit. So, that's going to stay in there I think pretty well.
And then when you're ready to use it, you just pull that up and that'll be ready for you to use. Now, the flange is black plastic (finger tapping) as you can hear. But it is durable. And this measures two and three quarters inches in diameter. And this is going to mount flush against the your exterior wall.
And let me get my ruler here and try to line this up for you just to give you the measurement of these mounting holes center to center. So, hopefully you can see this but lining that up center to center, it's almost two inches. I'm gonna call it right at probably one and 15/16 inches center to center on those mounting holes. And this is going to be a pretty easy installation. You're going to get the thread tape, the putty and then the three screws to mount this.
As you can see, my screws are rolling around there on the table. So, you're gonna get everything here to install this. And so, if this meets the specifications that you're looking for, I think this is going to be a great option for you to consider. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today. Had usual ugly white city water intake cover/flange. The worst color to stand up to UV and mold/mildew stains. All my exterior trailer accessories are being converted to black; door hatch to drain outlet. Not only does the rig look immediately sexier, it will withhold the elements better.
This part, A01-0169LFVP, is not available through most competitors, yet it is a standard replacement for my travel trailer and has a standard 1/2" faucet hose hook up for the interior, and the exterior is a standard 3/4" garden hose hook up.
It couldn't get simpler than this, and thank you for having it in black!

The Part is great and met the requirement thus for (only been a couple days). Easy replacement. The delivery process falls well short of optimal. Took a couple weeks after it was reported to have been sent.

This RV water inlet replaced a plastic unit that had stripped threads.
This one was brass. It fit the original screw holes perfectly.
