Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this TecNiq recessed mount mini red LED marine accent light. Now this is a small one and a half inch LED light that'll serve as a stylish accent and courtesy light on your boat. Emits a 90 degree of red light for your steps, your walkway or courtesy lighting. It is a sealed waterproof unit, includes a durable polycarbonate housing and UV resistant lens. They do use military grade construction of the circuit board in this light and they offer urethane potting which offers better protection than the common epoxy potting.

The LED used on this is a premium LED. It is energy efficient, long lasting and vibration resistant. It is rated for up to about 100,000 hours of operation. Now I am gonna hook this up to some 12 volt power just so you can see how bright the light is in the pattern it is. So we're gonna have to take our connectors.

Once we make our connections now we'll be ready to go. I'll go ahead and turn on the power. And then with the power on you'll see the red LED light up. Go ahead and turn off the overhead and you can see how bright that light is. The type of accent lighting it gives off.

It is a clear lens over one red LED and that lens is a clear high clarity lens and provides 90 degrees of directional light. Go ahead and turn back on our overhead, turn off our power. Now this is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. It is a recessed mount installation, has the built-in surface mount flange here you can see with the two holes in it. It does require two number four sized screws.

They are not included, you would have to supply those. And you notice the wiring it's about a seven inch wire length and it's a two wire harness that'll hardwire to your trailer. Now this does meet or exceed the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards 108 Standard. Few dimensions on this. The length of it is gonna be right at overall the length is one and a half inches. The width of it, seven eighths inches, and the total depth of it is right at three quarters of an inch. Input voltage is nine volts to 14 volts. Power draw is 0.05 to 0.07 amps.
