Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna take a look at this Waketower Surface-Mount 360 degree LED Boat Navigation Light. This waterproof LED navigation light is gonna give you 360 degrees of white light, helping you navigate your boat safely in reduced visibility by helping you to prevent collisions with debris and other vessels, but it's also going to alert other vessels of your position, so this is going to be great for speed boats, fishing boats, and pontoon boats. Now, the premium LED is energy efficient, it's long lasting and vibration resistant. As you can see, I already have this connected to power and the light is on. And let me go ahead and turn my lights off here in the studio just so you can get a better idea just how bright this light is, and I'm gonna zoom out here a little bit wider and kinda try to show you the light on the wall behind me. The premium LED is energy efficient, it is long lasting and vibration resistant.

It is rated for up to 100,000 hours of operation, and it has a range of two nautical miles. This one white LED is sealed in a waterproof housing and a clear lens unit. The housing is constructed from durable polycarbonate, and the lens is UV resistant. Now, this features a military-grade construction of the circuit board, and the urethane potting is going to offer better heat protection than common epoxy potting. So this is a surface-mount installation, and it has a two screw pattern options that I do wanna mention that the hardware is not included, so if you don't have those screws to mount this, that would be a separate purchase.

And this is a twist lock base, let me see if I can open this up for you real quick. It has hidden fasteners, it's going to easily attach for a clean appearance. And as you, no doubt, already saw, this does include this gasket that's going to create a weather tight seal and protect the finish of your boat. Now, the mounting hole dimensions are listed with a diagram on this product page, and this is going to hard-wire to your 12 volt DC system. And this is going to meet or exceed ABYC A-16 and USCG 2NM regulations.

Let me pull out my ruler here and just give you some overall measurements. I'm gonna begin looking at the overall diameter, and we are sitting pretty close to 2 1/2 inches, especially when you take into consideration how this flares out a little bit, so that diameter's gonna be close to 2 1/2 inches. And the overall thickness, we're sitting pretty close to almost an inch and a quarter on the overall thickness. Now, the input voltage is going to be 9 to 14 volts with a power draw of 0.09 to 0.11 amps, the wire length is about 13 inches long, and this does have a limited lifetime warranty.
