Jeff Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this TecNiq Eon Waterproof Amber LED Boat Accent Light. Now, this LED light will provide a nice, bright, deep white light for your boat. This is great for upgrading or replacing your accent, step, walkway, or even your underwater lighting. It has a nice sealed waterproof housing and lens unit, has an IP68 rating, does use a durable polycarbonate housing with a UV resistant lens, and if you can see, it is a clear lens over three amber LEDs, and they are premium LEDs, which are energy efficient, long lasting, and vibration resistant. They are rated for up to 50,000 hours of operation.

Now, they do use the military grade construction of the circuit board on this light, and they use the urethane potting, which offers better protection than the common epoxy potting, and this is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. It is a surface mount installation. Now, it does mount using a protective horizontal or vertical mounting cover, which we do sell separately on our website. They're usually listed on this product page as a related product. Now, the hardware to install this is not included, requires about two screws.

Now, when this is in the horizontal position using a horizontal cover and mount it, it'll emit a 90 degree beam. When it's mounted in the vertical cover in a vertical position, it's about a 70 degree beam. Now, this does hard-wire to your application, it's a two wire design, has a power and a ground. Wire length they give you is about 36 inches. Now, I'm gonna hook this up to some power to show you how bright the light is.

First, I'm gonna do some dimensions on it. So if we do the length, gonna be right at 2 1/8 inches long, the overall height, 5/8 of an inch tall, and the depth is also 5/8 of an inch deep. Light output is 150 lumens, input voltage, 9 to 14 volts, and the power draw is 0.11 to 0.15 amps. So what we're gonna do now is go ahead and hook it up, and just to give you an idea how bright it is, we'll turn off the lights. First, get it hooked up, now that we got it all hooked up, we'll go ahead and turn on the lights, and you can see there's your amber LEDs.

Go ahead and turn off the overhead light, and you could see now how bright they are, and the type of pattern they give off, very bright LEDs. Actually, I'm even gonna just zoom out, give you a long range, see how much light it does give off, very nice accent light. Zoom back in, we'll go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights, turn off our power, disconnect it. But that should do it for the review on this TecNiq Eon Waterproof Amber LED Boat Accent Light..
