Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the TecNiq 45 degree Waterproof Red LED Boat Accent Light. Now this LED light will provide a nice, bright, red light for your boat. This is great for upgrading or replacing your accent lighting, step lighting, walkway, or underwater lighting. When you do mount this, it gives you a 45 degree angle when it's mounted.

So it gives you a nice downward facing light to illuminate the area below. It is a nice sealed, waterproof housing and lens unit, has an IP 68 rating. There's a durable polycarbonate housing with a UV resistant lens. And if you notice it has a nice, clear, high clarity lens over three red LEDs, and it'll provide 180 degrees of linear lighting. Now at the end of this video, I am going to connect this light to some 12 volt power just to show you how bright the light is and the color.

But first I want to go over some of the features of the light. It does use premium LEDs, which are energy efficient, long lasting, vibration resistant. It is a military grade construction of the circuit board, so it uses the urethane potting, which offers better protection than the common epoxy potting. And as we mentioned, it is a surface-mount design. It is designed to mount using a protective 45 degree mounting cover, which we do sell separately on our website.

I want to just pop an insert up, I happen to show a picture of the stainless steel cover, but it does come in other different finishes, black, white, that one's a stainless steel one, but we do sell those separate on our website and they are listed on this product page as a related product. This does hardwire to your application. You can see it has two wires, a power and a ground. The wire length is about seven inches. This is compatible with 12 volt DC systems.

I'm gonna give you a few dimensions on the light itself, and then we're going to hook it up. So if we do the length of the light, one side to the very other is right at 2 1/8 inches long. The depth of it is right at 5/8 of an inch. And the overall height on it is also 5/8 of an inch. Light output on this is 240 lumens input voltage 9 volts to 14 volts. So again, what we're gonna do is go ahead and hook up our 12 volt power. And with it hooked up, I'll go ahead and turn on our 12 volt. There, you can see the three red LEDs Go ahead and turn off the overhead lights. And you can see how bright they are and the wide area that it gives off. We've mentioned 180 degrees, linear lighting. I'm even going to zoom out just so you can see from a distance how much area it covers. And turn back on our overhead lights, turn off the power.
