Video Transcript for Redline Enclosed Trailer Parts - Doors - DH604 Review

Today were going to review part number DH604. This is the Redline Plunger and Nylon Socket door holder. This part is designed to hold trailer doors open with ease by mounting one part to the door, the other part to the side of your trailer. Itll create a 1 inch gap between the trailer and the door is in use. The metal is zinc-plated to resist rust and corrosion. The nylon socket is made of a strong sturdy nylon material.

This part can also be used on windows. The height of the plunger is 1 inch tall and on the socket is 7/8 of an inch. Now the mounting, just to give you the dimensions, they do use a 3/16 of an inch mounting hole on both parts two holes here and the one hole here on the center. The distance on this metal part between the mounting holes center to center is 1 -inch. I do want to give you one more measurement.

When we push this together, the overall height is going to be 1 inches when theyre connected. That should do it for our review on part number DH604.

I've had this installed for a year now and i'm so pleased with it. When first installed, it didn't work very well. It didn't quite line up as it should. After taking it apart and putting it back together again, functioned perfectly. Installed on a typical cargo box trailer side door, made sure to seat the socket on a steel stud and through bolted the plunger to the door. Very solid. You just swing the door open and it grabs. Very wonderful. Takes a slight tug to free it but nothing extreme. It's never blown loose in the wind. This is the best door holder i've ever had on a trailer.

If anything, they are too strong

I used these in the non traditional way. I needed a solution to hold benches that I had built to the wall, and not have goofy angle brackets with screws. These worked as well as planned, after mounting the bumper the wall I mounted the plunger to the back of the bench seat. Snapped the seats to the wall and off we are. Seats are secured to the wall and if cleaning needs done they simply pull loose and re attach with a push. I did notice that when I did a test fit they do fit snugly before the screw was even added. In the end all looks fantastic and is very functional. The white color is not pure white as the wall that I was attaching to, but it was much closer than black. Great product, recommended for multiple purposes. I will be looking for more uses for these. Unfortunately I have not snapped any pictures at this time.

I am Justin with Hardwood Unlimited, the product that I had purchased is working wonderfully. I appreciate the follow up.

The part worked great, I’ll buy again if I need

The holder works ok on level ground but doesn't hold the doors when on uneven ground or when loading or unloading my horse. I have to toes the doors open.

The same. Still work good on level ground.

My only suggestion: your listing shows the plunger length to be 1" long in 5 (five) different places, but does not list the hole spacing as 1.25" (the video does). I read and re-read the listing searching for that nugget.
Otherwise, I am glad I found the item and appreciate your good service.
Have a Merry Christmas!

The product was delivered quickly and was a perfect replacement for the stops on my doors. I did have to enlarge the openings in the nylon sockets to allow less required pressure to open the doors.

After one year of use on my boat which is in salt water, the product is still functioning as expected.

I was in the market to replace a door catch on a 18-year old trailer, and was already on etrailer.com buying new rear lighting. This product looked solid and was for a good price. I have 3 small kids and wanted something low profile to minimize mishaps.
The plunger is solid and is exactly what I wanted. The nylon portion seems to be made for larger trailers with solid walls, because while it states that catch tension adjustments can be made by tightening the screw, all that succeeded in doing was to collapse my door panel. I ended up having to use a fender washer and a dremel sander to hog out the nylon to the tension I wanted. Not ideal, but the finished product is performing beautifully. And if it ever wears out, I can get a new nylon socket by itself from etrailer.com.

by:

I used these plungers with nylon sockets to secure barn dutch doors to the back wall while they are open. It does take some effort to detach them, but this is perfect for my situation because our horses cannot insecure the door and no amount of wind will pull them away from the socket.

However, as good as this product has worked for me, I was mostly impressed with the customer service from etrailer.com. My original order was for the incorrect quantity and I immediately wrote an email asking if I could amend my order prior to shipping so I would not have to pay shipping twice. I received a prompt phone call and everything was resolved perfectly. I also received an email confirming my original cancelled order and a separate email detailing the new order. I was very impressed with the how easy it was to work with etrailer.com's customer service.

by:

The fit on these are too tight. I put them on the doors of my teardrop trailer (lightweight doors) You have to use excessive force to get them to engage and release. I’m always afraid I could break the door glass. Recommend only using on very strong/thick doors.

by:

I'm so happy with this purchase. Our horse trailer's drop down windows were not staying open and these parts were not as easy to find as I'd hoped. I was excited to find them on etrailer.com but was worried they would not arrive prior to our trip (NC to MT). No worries as they arrived very fast, were easy to install and hold tight. Love the quality & great service. Thank you etrailer

by:

Great product. Easy install. Works as I hoped it would

These door stops as well as the other item I purchased from your firm were used on a camping trailer I built. I am very pleased with all the items I purchased. I also wish to thank you for the prompted service you afforded me. I would be happy to deal with etrailer if the need should arise again. Thank you.

by:

These are really nice in that they are a door bumper and hold it open. Also, we have a T style latch on our other trailer and too often, if you forget it's latched, you risk ripping the screws out, not with this one! I bought three thinking I would need all of them to hold the heavy steel door on my horse trailer, but only needed one! It's perfect!

by:

well made, strong holding power using for attaching cafe seat to my motorcycle

still works for my purpose

Perfect product , perfect fit . This item went on a race car trailer door with a 300-400 lb. tool box hanging on it. holds the door very effectively. You guys are great. it's people like you helping to make "America Great Again". Keep up the good work!!

by:

Was exactly what I was looking for to keep my trailer windows in place . The only downfall which was not listed is you must supply the hardware . With that being said I would recommend the product I ordered . I was kept up to date on progress with order and received promptly .
E trailer has awesome service .

After 7 years the plastic door-holder on my motorhome cracked and it was difficult to find a replacement. The DH604 was an exact duplicate of the one on my 2007 Winnebago View 23H. Although I only needed the plastic part, I also installed the new plunger. Great to find a precise replacement and not have to drill any new holes.

by:

Works great on my Exiss car hauler. The door fits really tight into the nylon, no worries about the wind closing the door any more.I have to order two more...one for my friends trailer and a spare for me!!!

by:

I used a set of these to hold the ramp extension to the ramp. I found that the hinge was wearing a great deal more than it was used, figured out it was just flapping around with every bump in the road. This is the fix.

by:

I purchased 5 of these for the dutch doors on our barn. The product is good quality, however, I will be exchanging the unused ones as they are too tight for the application I had in mind. They fit so tightly together that I have difficulty getting the door closed again.

by:

Great replacement for all my door and window holders on our living quarters horse trailer.

by:

I looked for these door catches everywhere. I found them on etrailer.com at a more than fair price. From the time I ordered right up until I received them at my door, I was kept appraised as to the shipping status. Good price , excellent communication and quick shipping. I couldn't ask for more!

by:

Came without any hardware. Was not expecting that.

Thank you for the review. If you note from the video on the product page, the mounting holes are three sixteenths of an inch so that would be the size you would need to fit this part.
