Hi everybody. My name is Andy with etrailer.com. And today, we're taking a look at this recessed mount red LED step and accent light. Now, this LED light is waterproof, and it's gonna provide 180 degrees of bright red light for steps and walkways. The downward angle is going to illuminate the area below, and this is gonna be great for upgrading or replacing step, walkway, and even your cabinet and countertop lighting. Now, I have this light connected to a 12 volt power supply, and I'm gonna turn that on.
And with my studio lights on, you can see just how bright this LED is and the nice red color. Let me go ahead and turn my studio lights off just to give you a better idea of what this looks like in the dark. And again, you see that downward angle that it illuminates with this red light. You see my, my hand there. This is a premium LED.
It's energy efficient, it's long-lasting, and vibration resistant. And I'm gonna go ahead and turn my lights back on and then give you a wide angle view while this light is still on just so you can see how bright it is with my overhead lights on from that distance. So, let me go ahead and turn my power off. And let's continue to take a closer look at this light together. Now, this light is sealed in a waterproof housing, and a clear, durable, impact-resistant lens.
And that lens is over that red LED within. And as you can see, this is chrome. So, it has this durable chrome cover. And the circuit board within is of a military-grade construction. So, that's gonna add to the durability of this light.
The urethane potting offers better protection over a, for heat, over the common epoxy potting. And again, this is a recessed mount light. And so, that's how the installation is gonna be. It does have a, an included grommet. So, when you install this, all you have to do is pop this into a 3/4 of an inch diameter cut-out. Now, this does hardwire to your application, and it's a two-wire set up here. The black wire is going to be your ground. And in the case of this light, the red light is, the red wire rather is going to be your power. And let me give you some measurements here. The overall thickness of this light, we are sitting right at an inch thick. And then the diameter of this light, we are sitting right at an inch and a quarter in diameter. Now, the input voltage is gonna be nine to 14 volts. And the overall length of this wire is gonna be sitting right at about 7 1/2 inches. The power draw of this light is going to be .06 to .08 amps. And this light does have a limited lifetime warranty. Again, this red LED does come with this chrome housing. If you're looking for something other than chrome, we do offer this in a black plastic housing as well. You can find that on our website, item number TN52VR. Excellent service from the folks at E-trailer. Continue to order from them for most of my trailer and project needs. One caveat is item coming through Salt Lake City, Utah during the LDS General Conference will be significantly delayed. My items sat there for almost 3 days before making it to Southern California. Plan your future orders accordingly.
Beautifully made little lights, potted electronics & LED for weatherproofing. Throw off enough light to offer illumination to dark areas. Recommended.
I used these as interior lights in the foot wells of my SxS and they are great. They light up the space well while the shade does not blind me.
We used this as a license plate light. Works Great
We used this LED light to shine on each stair leading up to the back of our house. Really works wonderfully. We also added a switch that turns them on when the sun goes down.

Just got a new camper and they used a few amber clearance lights for some accent lighting, but the amber is too bright to leave on at night for the kiddos.
This new blue light is bright, but the cover keeps all the light on the floor so it doesn’t keep anyone awake at night!

Tested all . Appear to be as advertised except that one light was a WHITE diode when all were supposed to be blue.
The lights were delivered in a timely matter. Unfortunately the lights are very weak providing very little light.
Works perfect for my use.
