Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this TecNiq Waterproof Red LED Boat Accent Light. Now, this LED light can provide a nice bright red light for your boat. It's great for upgrading or replacing accent lights, step lights, walkway, or underwater lighting. This is a nice sealed waterproof housing and lens unit, has an IP68 rating, and they do offer military grade construction of the circuit board. Uses urethane potting, which offers better protection than common epoxy potting, and you can see it as a nice durable polycarbonate housing with a UV resistant lens.

This clear high clarity lens is over three red LEDs, and it'll provide 180 degrees of linear lighting, and the LEDs are premium LEDs, so they are energy efficient, long lasting, and vibration resistant. This is a surface mount installation, it is designed to mount using a protective cover, mounting cover, that we do sell separately on our website, and it comes in three different variations. Just wanna show you on the insert there, you can see it'll come as a horizontal, comes as a vertical, or 45 degree mounting cover, and again, they're all sold separately on our website, and they are listed on this product page as a related product. Now, the hardware to install these is not included, it does require two screws to mount it, and it will hard-wire to your application. The wire length they give you is about seven inches, has two different black wire and red wire, one's a ground, one's a power wire, and this is compatible with 12 volt DC systems.

Now, I'm gonna hook this up to some power just to show how bright it is. First, I wanna give you the dimensions of the light. The length of it is right at 2 1/8 inches long, height of it, right at 5/8 of an inch, and the depth on it, 5/8 of an inch too. Light output, 240 lumens, input voltage is 9 volts to 14 volts, power draw 0.12 to 0.14 amps. So what we're gonna do now is go ahead and hook this up, and once we got it all hooked up, go ahead and turn on our power, and there you can see the three red LEDs.

I'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights, so you can see how bright it is, pretty bright for just three LEDs. I'll even zoom out to show you how it is far away. Again, still very bright. I'll zoom back in. I'll go ahead and turn off our overhead lights, or turn back on our overhead lights, and then we'll turn off our power.
