Cam-action door latch is ideal for your trailer's side door or fold-down gate. 12-1/2" Double-action handle protects against jarring while driving. Non-removable pin helps keep your cargo secure. 3/4" Diameter pipe is not included.

Specs:
- Handle length: 12-1/2"
- Distance between mounting holes on hasp (center to center): 4"
- Distance between mounting holes on hinges (center to center): 3-1/4"
- Mounting hole diameter (on hinges and hasp): 1/2"
Note: Schedule 40 3/4" plumbers pipe needs to be welded to the cam ends as well as the handle for complete installation.

We make our own custom length latches for our doors. These kits are great and save us a lot of time and money. I just wish they came in plain steel.

Latch worked great. Welded a custom length rod and it functions perfectly. Hasp didn't get included in the original shipment, but the reps at etrailer.com quickly shipped out the missing item. Buying from etrailer.com was easy, cost effective, and altogether a positive experience. Would definitely buy from them again. Only reason I didn't rate a 5 star was because the item was missing from original shipment.

They look like they'll work for our situation, but haven't installed them yet. i went with this style, rather than the pre-constructed ones because I need the handle lower, near the bottom of the pipe, not centered. I'm going to use these for slide out 'locks' on our truck camper.

This is a good kit but you must keep the pivot points well lubricated or you WILL bend the handle.

If you have a heavy, tall door then you'd want to consider looking into a longer bar whereas if you have a smaller, lighter door then you can use a shorter bar. I can't quite tell from the picture but it looks like that is the old pipe and what you really need is a handle to attach. The # 158-100 could be welded onto the existing pipe to replace your handle. If you want to replace the hasp as well then you could get the # PLR3057 instead.
