Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the TecNiq Dragon water-proof, deep-red LED boat accent light. This LED light will provide a nice bright, deep-red for your boat. It's great for upgrading or replacing accent lighting, step lighting, walkway, or even underwater lighting. It is a nice sealed, water-proof housing and lens unit. It does have an IP68 rating.

It does use military-grade construction of the circuit board, and it uses urethane potting, which offers better protection than the common epoxy potting. Does use premium LEDs, which are energy-efficient, long-lasting, and vibration-resistant. It is rated for up to 50,000 hours of operation. The lens again, or the housing, is a durable polycarbonate housing, UV-resistant lens. It is a clear lens that's over four deep-red LEDs.

This is compatible with 12-volt DC systems. I am gonna hook this up to some power in a minute here just to show you how bright the light is. This is a surface-mount installation. The hardware to install this is not included. Requires two screws.

It does mount using a protective horizontal or vertical-mounting cover, which we do sell separate on our website. Those covers are listed on this product page as a related product. If this is listed in a horizontal position like this with a horizontal cover, it gives off 60-degree beam. If it's mounted in a vertical position with the vertical cover, gives off a 40-degree beam. This does hard-wire to your application.

The wire length on this is 36 inches. It is two wires; one's a power wire, one's a ground wire. Dimensions on this light. The overall length is 1 1/8 inches. Overall height; 3/8 of an inch. The depth of the light is right at a half an inch. Light output is 32 lumens. Input voltage, nine volts to 14 volts. The power draw is 0.08 to 0.12 amps. What we're gonna do now is go ahead and hook it up so we can show you how bright the light is. I've got that all hooked up. I'll go ahead and turn the power on. You can see with the power on, lights up the four deep-red LEDs. Go ahead and turn the light off, and you can see how bright those lights are. I'm either going to zoom out just to show you the distance, how it lights up a nice, red area. Go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights. Turn off our power.
