Hi everybody. My name is Andy with etrailer.com. And, today we're taking a look at this recessed mount white LED interior boat accent light. Now, this waterproof LED interior accent light is going to provide a white light for illuminating your boat steps and walkways. Now I have this connected to 12-volt power. And let me give you a brief demonstration of what this looks like lit up.

Again, this is going to be a nice white light. And, I've just turned my studio lights off. And as you can see, it really does, for the size of the light, it really does emit quite a bit of light. And then, while I have my lights off, I'm going to go to this wide view just to kind of let you see what this is like. Let me turn my lights back on.

And as you can see, even with my overhead lights on, you can see just how bright this light is. Now, let's go ahead and continue to take a closer look at this. This is a premium LED, so that's going to be energy efficient for you. It's going to be long-lasting, and it's going to resist vibration, and it's going to be rated up to 50,000 hours of operation. So, it's going to last you a good long time.

It is sealed in a waterproof housing in a clear, durable, impact-resistant lens over that white LED. This has an IP rating of 68, meaning that it can withstand dust and dirt and sand, and it will be resistant to submersion up to a maximum depth of 1.5 meters underwater for up to 30 minutes. It does have a nice polished stainless steel cover that's going to add a clean look to this light, and the circuit board within is of a military grade construction. So again, that just adds to the durability of this light. The urethane potting offers better protection than the common epoxy for heat protection.

And the recessed mount is going to require that you make a three quarters of an inch diameter cutout. And, once you have that cutout in place where you want to mount this light, you would just use the included hardware to install this light in that cutout. So, you would just take this first gasket, and you would put that up against the back of this light, and then you would put your light through that cutout. And then, you would just run this second gasket up to the light, and then in between these gaskets, you'll have that cutout. And, these gaskets are going to create that weather-tight seal and also protect the finish of your boat. And then finally, this nylon nut will lock everything into place. Now your light is installed. Now, this is going to be compatible with 12-volt DC systems. This is a hard wire installation, has two wires. This light, the black is going to be a ground, and the white is going to be power. And let me give you some quick dimensions here. In my ruler up in the right side. The overall depth of this light is going to be sitting right at fifteen sixteenths of an inch. That's going to be the same for the diameter as well, fifteen sixteenths of an inch. Now the input voltage of this light is 9 to 14 volts, and the power draw is going to be .02 to .03 amps. And the wire length is going to be sitting right at about 7.5 inches long. This light does have a limited lifetime warranty. And again, this is a white LED light.
