What's up everybody. It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out this replacement light switch on our electric RAM Jack. Sometimes on these jacks, the switches will wear out. Either this will break and you won't be able to throw the switch. Or some people will complain that the bevel has broken or chipped away.
You're gonna easily replace that with this extra part. Now we will have to disassemble the top of the jack. So let's get right to that. First thing we're gonna do, is remove the screws. There's gonna be three screws along the outside of the assemblies.
So there's gonna be one on each side. And then one on the back side. So we'll remove all three of those. And we'll go underneath. On the underside, we're gonna have two screws up here.
And then two towards the back. So we're gonna do the same thing we did on the sides and remove those. Now, remember the silver ones go up front and the gold ones go in the backside. And we'll take off both parts of the assembly just to get it outta the way, to have a closer look. So we're only replacing the light switch today.
Now there is a replacement part for raising and lowering the jack. That's gonna be this one. But this is the light switch that we're gonna focus on. It only has two wires running to it. It's got two red wires. So what we're gonna do is push on the backside. We're gonna pop that switch out and we have our new one right here. We're gonna put it in the same way. And just put the red wires in the same spot. And then, you just push it back into place. With it still taken apart, I want to test to make sure the light works. So let's flip the switch and see the LEDs come on. So now we can just put it all back together. With it all put back together, just one more time, make sure the light works and you're done. I think it's cool that you can replace that switch. You don't have to get a whole new setup. I don't wanna have to buy a whole new jack just cause the button's broke. I can easily get in there and take the cover off and replace that. You can also get a replacement cover for it as well. So if that's looking kind of gnarly and you wanna replace that, that's an option as well. Look on our website. I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out. I hope this helps..

Lynn S is a Very knowledgeable parts person. She was able to quickly find the 2 different replacement switches our electric
trailer jack required, that, in spite of lack of information from the manufacturer. And although the price of the 2 switches was minuscule, she treated the order as if the parts cost hundreds of dollars. - Troubleshooting etrailer/Ram Jack EJ-3520-BBX with Light that Stopped WorkingFor the etrailer jack part # EJ-3520-BBX we have a replacement light board with the part # EJ-3520-LT and the switch part # EJ-3520-LSW. You might pull your switch out and see if yours is still connected to the wiring properly but most likely it's the switch that's bad since LEDs typically last a really long time.
