Video Transcript for JR Products Single Rocker Switch Review

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at our single rocker switch from JR Products. What this is gonna do is provide a switch for your different accessories, whether it be something like a light and a camper shell like this. This is going to give you that control. So we wire this to our battery and to our accessory and it gives us a simple on and off to control that light or other accessory. Let's check it out.

So the packaging does come with a small wiring diagram. It's very simple. You're gonna have two tabs. The one located in the center is our positive. That's what's going to connect to our battery.

And then the one on the bottom is for our load. That's what connects to our accessory. In our case, the light. You will need some spade connectors to get your wire attached and then it also doesn't include any wiring so you need to pick that up yourself. And as far as mounting the switch goes, you can put it wherever you see fit for your application but it does include some dimensions for that cutout.

So in terms of height it's going to be one and one eighth of an inch. And in terms of width, it's going to be half an inch. So make a cut wherever you're gonna put it like that. In our case, it was just this small plastic panel so I used a dremel tool to cut it out. And then you just push it in and you'll hear those tabs snap in for a really smooth mounting.

And the outer edge of that switch does have a small bevel so it hides all the uneven cuts and gives it a very clean look. So if you've got some DIY projects that you're looking to do, like some lights and a camper shell or under a tonneau cover, then this is a great way to control those. It's a pretty simple install process and all you need to do is figure out where you're gonna use it. I'm Aidan, thanks for watching.

  • What Size Terminal Connectors Are Used on the Single Rocker Switch 37212595
The width of the prongs that you would connect the wires to on the Rocker Switch # 37212595 are 1/4" wide, so you'd need 1/4" terminal connectors.

  • Parts Needed to Install Westin Off Road Lights
Thanks for your purchase of the Westin Sportsman Grille Guard # 40-3825 for your 2017 Toyota 4Runner! In order to install the MaxxTow Off-Road Lights # MT80637-2 on the grill guard you need a power source, wiring, a switch, and some connectors. For the power source I do recommend using the Firestone Fuse Circuit Tap Kit # F2526 because it will help to protect your wiring. If you don't go this route then you'll have to place a fuse or circuit breaker on a power wire that's hooked up to...

  • On/Off Switch for a KiB Services Panel
The Ventline # BL0108-00 switch you referred to is very similar but fits a cut out hole measuring 3/4" X 1/2" instead of the 1" X 1/2" sizing that you want. The closest items we carry are, JR Products # 37212595 uses 1-1/8" X 1/2" cut out (very close) JR Products # 37213405 uses 1.125" X 0.55" cut out (not as close)

  • Can A RV Push Button Switch Be Swapped to a Rocker Switch?
I'm not certain, but If I had to guess it'd probably come down to cost. It's probably more cost effective for the manufacturer to buy push button switches that are pre-wired rather than rocker switches. With that said, the push button switch like # DG52452VP is just a 12v on/off switch, so you could totally swap it with a rocker switch like the Single Rocker Switch # 37212595. If you wanted to go a step further I recommend pairing that with the Single RV Switch Faceplate # 37212855 for...

  • Is There an Available Exterior 110v/120v Light for 1996 Rockwood 2307 Pop Up Camper
I have a solution for you, but the Optronics LED RV Exterior Scene Light # UCL41CB is designed to work on 12v power only, so it's not going to work on a 110v/120v feed. Unfortunately all of the lights we've got for this application are going to be 12v lights. With that said, if you have a battery on your camper, you could run the wiring for the # UCL41CB to the battery and power the # UCL41CB that way, so you'd have a 12v power source. You would want to install a switch like the Single...

  • Does The ThermaHeat RV Holding Tank Heater Pad Require Special Wiring
You'd most likely be fine just using some # 16-1-1 with the standard casing but you could also get some wire with exterior rated jacketing if you wanted to go the extra step. You can also get some wire loom # 7509-10 and run it the length of the wires and use electrical tape to secure it. When installing the ThermaHeat RV Holding Tank or Step Heater Pad w/ Thermostat # 277-000164 you'll also want to use a switch like # 37212595 to be able to turn it off when not needed to avoid an unwanted...

  • Replacement 12 Volt On Off Rocker Switch
Yes we do have them. I personally prefer the Universal-Design Rocker Switch - SPST - On-Off - 12 Volt - 20 Amp - 3-Blade - Red Pilot Light # PK34360. The red indicator light lets you know if it is on or off from a distance. If you like the simple standard look we have the Single Rocker Switch - Labeled On/Off - SPST - Black # 37212595. It doesn't have a light indicator it is just labeled with ON/OFF. We also have the Single Rocker Switch - 12V - On/Off - SPST - Black Plate with Blue Illuminated...

  • Will Back Up Sensors on 2016 Toyota Sienna Need to Be Disabled When Towing
Actually, you really shouldn't need to do anything with the sensors because they'll only activate when the vehicle is in reverse. If you find that having them sound while your backing is annoying, you can install a switch such as # 37212595 inline with the power circuit feeding the sensors so you can turn them on and off as needed. You'll need to trace the sensor wires from the bumper, and locate which wire in their harness carries power. Install the leads for the switch inline on that...
