Right part, delivered quickly (a few days earlier than originally estimated) at a fair price. I love ordering from trailer.

by:

Parts fit fine, however one was missing the bleeder screw. It looked as though it had been installed and taken back off.
Not really ideal, though I had a new bleeder that fit. Also the other one had a 10 mm nut on the bleeder so I changed it as well so I would have all the same bleeders and wouldn't need 2 wrenches to bleed brakes.
The other pair had the plunger rods with them too. Which was nice, I reused the other two from the old cylinders.
All in all they are fine, and price was good. Oh, and these parts are aluminum, old ones were cast iron. I guess I wish the new ones were too.
We shall see how they hold up.
1st pic new installed, second old parts

by:

Parts worked perfect and were delivered within the week.

by:

Fits and works well. Odd that the right side cylinder did not come with rod yet costs $8 more than left.

by:

I had to purchase this wheel cylinder to replace one on a complete brake assembly I had purchased a week earlier. I stripped the threads on the first trying to install the brake line. Two issues. 1. Paint in the threads of the one on the complete brake assembly and 2. For whatever reason, my brake line fittings were ever so slightly too large for the cylinder threads. One had gone on properly but the other three would not. So I used a 3/8-24 tap to clean the paint out, finger tight only, on the others, then used a 3/8-24 die to run over the threads on my fittings, this required the handle and a wrench. All went together as designed. Not sure why my fittings were too large, all were 3/8-24 thread, but they were and with out the tap and die there was no way. Might want to keep this in mind before you start your project, have a tap and die handy.

A year later every thing is intact and fully operational. Just be aware of the paint in the wheel cylinder threads And the necessity to clean it out if the occasion arises.

Exactly what we needed to get trailer on the road.

by:

Fit perfectly as required. Used on Ezyloader
10,000lbs tandem rear axle boat trailer. Relatively easy to find on website, reasonably priced, fast shipping. Excellent experience.
Thank you.

Flawless so far, working great. Not putting many miles on my trailer as anticipated though.

by:

All parts for boat trailer brake repair (master cylinder, wheel cylinders, and brake pushrod) were exact replacements and fit perfectly, solving my braking issues. Paid for expedited shipping and parts were delivered in two days as promised. I'm very pleased with etrailer!

by:

Exact replacement on boat trailer with Tiedown 12" brakes. Bolts not included.I wish shipping was faster. Did not ship until 5 days after order.

by:

Wheel cylinders were a perfect fit. Replacement was super easy except for the dang stiff brake line that absolutely DID NOT want to cooperate but that was no fault of the cylinders. I asked for priority mail and received the package 3 days before I expected. Now if I can just stop ads for similar products from loading on nearly every page I view. Not your fault either. Sorry didn't think about pics until I was putting up my tools.

by:

Our local dealer wanted twice as much for this part as etrailer did. I was able to do both of my trailer brakes for the price the local dealer had for one wheel. Delivery was quick as well. Thank you, etrailer

by:

sales rep was very helpful with suggestions for proper fitting wheel cylinder.

by:

The parts are shipped fast and it bolted right in place with no problems. The brakes work so nice when you have the right parts. If I need anymore trailer parts I will definitely buy from George again

by:

We will send you the return instructions. I will have our customer search team contact you.

by:

Recevied on time, had to drill mounting hole on back plate a little larger for bolt to line up. Works great.

by:

I was surprised to find out these new ones are aluminum and the ones I took off were steel or cast iron. I assume these will be fine. Shipping was right on time

by:

Quality product, haven't installed yet, but imagine the aluminum will last longer then the steel units that were original equipment.

by:

The srrvice and delivery was great. The website was easy to find the part needed and easy to order from. great price.

  • Replacement Brake Assemblies for 1994 Shoreliner Trailer with Hydraulic Drum Brakes
We can help but we don't have wheel cylinders for the brake assemblies you have. Best solution would be all new assemblies like the part # AKUBRK-35-D which are 10 inch assemblies for a 3,500 lb axle. If you had a 5k axles the assemblies would be 12 inch.

  • Troubleshooting a Dico 60 Hydraulic Surge Brake Actuator with Only 1 Drum Locking Up
There are a few things that could be causing this issue on your brakes. First thing I would check for would be a clog in the brake lines. To do this you will want to bleed the brakes. Second thing it could be is a bad wheel cylinder which would recommend replacing with either the # AKBRKR-H7-R (right hand side) or # AKBRKR-H7-L (left hand side). Lastly your breaks not locking up could be due to if grease has gotten on the brake shoes. If any grease gets on the inside of the drum or...

I can't tell you exactly what you're going to have on your trailer, since it's not something that's available in a database, but if you know what type of brakes you've got on your EZ Loader trailer, the axle capacity and the size of the brake assemblies. • Replacement Brake Pads and Wheel Cylinder for 10 Inch Hydraulic Brake Assemblies on Boat Trailer
Recommending replacement components like brake pads and a wheel cylinder for a hydraulic brake assembly without knowing who manufactured it would be very difficult. Are there any part numbers or manufacturer information on them? Without any manufacturer information, your best bet would be to simply replace the entire assembly. This way, you'll have all new parts and you'll know your brake assemblies will be good to go for a few years. For a boat trailer, I'd recommend using galvanized...

Yes, the replacement wheel cylinder part # AKBRKR-H7-R is the correct replacement for a Dexter 54-65 wheel cylinder like what you have. For a 12 inch flexible brake line you'd want the part # bh-3mfs-1 and then for a 6 foot section part # bh-3mfs-6 and you'd be set!
