Why Doesn't Yakima Replacement Knob part # 8890239 Come with a Lock Core
The replacement knob part # 8890239 comes with a change key, but it does not come with a lock core. The reasoning for that is so that you can purchase separately a lock core that will match what you currently have allowing you to only need to remember one key. Look at the Yakima key you already have. You will see a number stamped on it. That number is how you will pick out the correct core. For example if you see 147 you would want the lock core part # Y8771-A147.

How To Open a Locked Yakima Cargo Box With No Key Number On Lock Core
If the key number is not on the face of your lock core then it is on the side (not visible while installed). Unfortunately, there is no way to get this key number unless you remove the lock core. The sticker number that you listed will not tell use this. Therefore, you can either have a locksmith pick the lock and then use the Replacement Control Key part # Y8007835 to remove it so you can get the key number or you can drill this out and then install any matching lock core and key you want,...

Yakima Lock Core That Matches A147 Yakima Key
Yes, if your Yakima key has the code A147 on it then that means your key is part # Y8772-A147 and the matching lock core is part # Y8771-A147. Just order however many lock cores you are needing and make sure you have a Control Key # Y8007835 to remove the unlocked cores you are needing to replace.

Can the Yakima SKS 8 Pack of Lock Cores Be Made to Match Existing Locks
There isn't going to be a set of 8 like the Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores # Y07208 that is keyed to match your lock cores. This kit includes new keys, 8 lock cores and the change key so you'd essentially replace all of your older lock cores with this kit and the included keys would open all of the locks. Your lock cores that you mention are only available as singular replacements; so for your A132 lock core you'd need # Y8771-A132, for your A147 core you'd need # Y8771-A147,...
