Hello neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at the replacement SKS or same key system lock core for your Yakima Racks and carriers, specifically core number A136. Now folks, this will replace or add one Yakima SKS lock cylinder to your system and it can allow all your Yakima products to then be keyed alike, it does fit key A136 that's sold separately. I'll pop that number on the screen and as you can see, you got an engraving there on the core there. That's the A136. So that's how you know which core it is.

We ran into a situation a short time ago that necessitated drilling out our rooftop carrier lock so that we could get into it. In the interim, we've been tying our carrier closed - but with this new lock core, we can say goodbye to the complicated system of straps and tie downs and enjoy the simplicity of a single-lock system! Works like a charm.

- Troubleshooting Yakima SKS Lock Core that is Jammed and CorrodedI would try some lubricant like WD40 to clean the lock. Make sure to get the lubricant inside the lock. You can often slide the key in the keyhole to work the lubricate into the lock mechanism. If you can't get it to work still you may need to replace the lock core.
