Roof Rack for 2010 Ford F-150 with Snug Top Shell with Roof Tracks

Question:

I have a 2010 Ford F150 with a Snug Top Shell that has two 2roof bars. The bars are parallel with the vehicle length and are not crossbars. I can fit the tent unit onto the bars, but since they are 2inch bars, the clamps do not tighten to the point I am comfortable with. Is there a 2inch clamp that can be used with the tent? I could put a cross bar on but still need a way to clamp to the crossbars to the 2inch bar. Any suggestions? I do have some Thule crossbars but dont have any round Yakima bars.

Your Snug Top camper shell should have channels that a roof rack could fit into based on my research but we don't have any fits for versions of the camper shell that have raised 2 inch rails. So best option we have would be a rack that would install in the tracks on the roof of the camper shell. Like the Rhino Rack # Y02-490B which comes with aero shaped bars and everything needed to install. This would work great with the Skyrise HD Tent part # Y07437 as well.

The Thule bars you have now are most likely the older style which are not longer supported.
