Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this TorkLift single add-on GlowStep kit. Now this kit is going to allow you to add a step to your TorkLift GlowSteps. So if you are installing your steps and you find they're just a little bit too short or you've switched setups, you're trying to convert your old steps to your new setup and you need an extra step, this is going to be exactly what you need. This is the exact same step that's on your GlowSteps.
So it'll fit right in place. You're not gonna have to worry about it looking different or being a different height or width or anything like that. It is gonna be the exact same aircraft grade aluminum construction. So it is gonna be very durable, rust proof. We've got our stainless steel hardware included.
So this is going to do a great job of installing with your other steps. Just to give you a few measurements here to give you a little extra peace of mind that this is going to fit right in place with those others. It's right at 20 and 1/2 inches in overall length or overall width or depth would be measured from the very side here. And that's just over, just under nine and 1/2 inches. So you can see there, but our actual width or our depth of our step is about eight inches there.
This does have the same tread on it. So again, it is gonna integrate really easily into your steps. It's got the GlowStep tape. That's going to allow it to illuminate your low light conditions so you can see the edge. So again, just like the original or the rest of your steps, it's gonna fit right in place.
The instructions that are included are very detailed. They'll walk you through how to get this installed using the brackets and hardware to get this mounted right in place with your others so that there's no visual indication of it being a different kind of step or an additional step that is gonna fit right in for you. Good product, but could have ordered the right number of steps to start with if the measurement instructions were more explicit. The braket attach area is many inches in height. Do you measure from the bottom, the top or the middle? That's why I ended up a step short

Had to add another step. I order a three step based on the info from the website. It was borderline between a three step and four step. Should have gone with the four step in retrospect. The installation was easy. Big improvement from the before and after pictures. Again great folks to deal with.

Nice upgrade for my Lance 2445 with the factory lift kit. Many times the door side needs to be raised to level, and that makes the 2 step set that came on the trailer too short to make it to the ground and have the step level. This step solves that.

These steps are well made and easy to use. I order an additional step, because I have a 6” lift in my truck. 5 steps will work perfect for backcountry camping.

adding a step is like a erector set project from my chilhood lol .
The glow feature of the glow step has always been a joke to me unless you shine
a flashlight on the glow tape and use the stairs
right away .
the steps are stout
and hold my 280lbs without issues . they really are the best game in town (or the Forest)

This is an add on step taking 4 steps to 5. 2017 Super Duty with Laredo SC truck camper. I worked perfectly up to the point I sold the camper. As I recall the only issue was the delay getting it from TorkLift. It delayed me leaving for my trip out west last year.

I truck camper a camper on a 3500 Ram 4WD. The steps that came with the camper were not tall enough to work with my truck, so Built a plywood booster step for the glow steps to rest on. I discovered with this add-a-step system and added it to my existing steps for a perfect fit

This add-on fixed my problem of the steps being too short. My trailer was just in the middle of needing 3 steps or 4. In most places I take the feet off the bottom step and it works great. It's quite a puzzle to add it so pay close attention to the instructions!

We had a 6" glow step at the top of the camper bumper. I changed it to an 8" glow step to make it larger and safer. The 8" step bolted directly where the 6" was with no alterations.

To answer your question about measuring what you want to do is measure from the top mounting point of the bracket to the ground. This is called the entry height which will roughly match the height of the steps when they are fully extended. I hope that the steps are working out for you.
