CR Brophy Replacement Scissor Step Bracket

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Brophy Replacement Scissor Step Bracket for 18 inch steps. This unit's made from a steel construction. Has a really nice protective finish on it to keep it safe from rusting and corrosion. It's going to work with 18 inch steps, both aluminum and steel models. It's got the hooks right here that the upper bar, the step, would latch into and lock into place. Really nice, sturdy, strong design. Taking a look at the overall length and measurement.
Measuring edge to edge that's going to give us a measurement of about 18 and one quarter inches. Again, overall length 18 and one quarter. The width . you can see there that basically it's just a piece of angle iron. Each side is going to measure one inch.
There's going to be four mount holes on this unit. You got one, two, three, and four. The distance between each mount hole going center on center is going to be about five and one quarter inches. From this whole to this whole, center on center, is going to be about fifteen and three quarters of an inch. Mounting hardware is not included so that will need to be provided separately.
Each mount hole has a diameter of five sixteenths of an inch. That's going to do it for today's look at the Brophy Replacement Scissor Step Bracket for 18 inch steps.

Purchased this as a extra bracket so I could use the steps on either side of my boat. Bracket is very heavy duty and well built.
The finish of this product which appears to be a zinc plating had to be ground down due to poor / non existing deburring of angle iron corners and mounting holes. The hole burrs stood out to the point where the bracket would not sit flat on it's mounting surface. If your going to plate something it needs to be prepped prior ! For what I paid for this bracket and shipping ... close to $50.00 I don't think I should have to do anything but mount it up and hang my stairs.
Other than that it works as advertised.
We had a truck camper which we sold and replaced it with a travel trailer that had slide out stairs. I preferred the old steps SO much more and had my husband install this bracket. The steps now fit perfectly!
The part came quickly and seems the right part. I already have it installed.
I got it mounted to my camper. I haven't been able to test it out yet but I think it's going to work just fine.
Used truck camper came with step but no bracket on the camper. This item fit the bill and works.

Perfect
Worked great for a random set of steps I had !
Steel scissor stairs were exactly what I expected. Heavier than I thought they would be and that's a positive because I haven't skipped many buffet lines lately (235lbs) and that thing holds me no problem. Installation was simple- it took about 20 minutes more than necessary because I tried to overthink the whole thing rather than just follow the directions (man-disease, you may have been affected). Shipping was exactly as fast as was promised- thanks e-trailer.
I purchased this to mount my scissor steps on to my truck camper and it worked like a charm. Been using it for over a year now without any issues. Highly recommend it.
I had this product for my camper and needed a 2-step for my cargo trailer. Although pricy, a great quality product. Will last forever!
Great product, It works for my scissor steps that are not from the same maker as the bracket. Very strong, I'm not worried that my 250-pound husband is going to bend it haha. Thank you
It was for our steps to the camper. I did not have a bracket. This is what I needed and it works good. I did not have any problem putting it on.

This is the a scissors step mounting bracket for my truck camper. I received it today and installed it today. This is a very well made bracket, I could not ask for better.
This is the second one purchased which will enable us to move the stairs onto multiple brackets for different setups. These work great.

A year later the mounting bracket is working fine. I just picked up a set of the aluminum Brophy steps to replace my steel ones. The weight savings is huge and a welcome change.
