8" x 20" Aluminum steps are designed for truck bed campers. Steps mount on camper and don't need to be removed for travel. Easy deployment with retention strap. Landing gear legs offer maximum stability and let you fine-tune the height.

Specs:
TorkLift's GlowStep Stow N' Go steps offer stability and adjustability. The built-in landing gear legs let you fine-tune the height of the steps. And they can be adjusted independently of one another to stabilize the steps on uneven terrain, eliminating any wobble.
These GlowStep Stow N' Go steps have a bolt-on mounting base that installs on the outside of your camper. The base provides a strong and stable connection to your camper, and it attaches permanently using the included mounting hardware. When you're ready to roll, just collapse the steps, fold them up, and snap them into the base of the bracket. The stabilizing bracket not only holds the steps in place on the outside of your camper, but it also prevents unwanted movement and rattle. For ultimate security, add on a TorkLift pin lock (TLA7509 - sold separately) to lock the steps to the bracket.
Will Torklift GlowStep Stow N' Go Scissor Steps Work for You?
Scissor steps are typically installed on truck campers. The Stow N' Go scissor steps from Torklift are easy to install and lock into the mounting bracket while on the go. To ensure you choose the correct size for your application, there are a few measurements you will need to take.
The Stow N' Go scissor steps have a single mounting bracket that attaches to either the camper wall or the truck bumper beneath the doorway. To decide which size you'll need, locate the space available for the mounting bracket on your application and measure the width and height. You will need an area of at least 23" wide and 3-1/2" tall.
Once you have an approximation of where the mounting bracket will go, the spot you chose will be used as the "mounting point" to determine how many steps you will need.
How Many Steps Do You Need?
To decide on how many steps you'll need, measure from the mounting point to the ground. This is called the entry height. The entry height should roughly match the height of the steps when they're fully extended, and it will tell you how many steps you need.
The chart below displays entry height measurements in the first column. The step part numbers with the 21-1/2" mounting bracket width are in the second column.
This page's step assembly is in bold text.
Entry Height | 21-1/2" Mounting Bracket Width |
---|---|
23-1/2" - 34-1/2" | TLA7843, TLA7833 |
31" - 42" | TLA7844, TLA7834 |
38-1/2" - 50" | TLA7845, TLA7835 |
46-1/2" - 58" | TLA7836, TLA7846 |
How Do You Install the Steps?
To install the steps:
-Make sure the assembly is centered beneath the doorway
-Secure in place with included lag screws
GlowStep Accessories
Add any of these accessories to your Stow N' Go steps for stability, eliminating gaps, and keeps your steps and RV interior clean. The GlowGuide handrail (TLA7621 - sold separately) attaches to the outside of your RV and a bracket on the bottom of the steps. This helps to steady the assembly and adds 25 lbs to the weight capacity of the stairs. The SafeStep vinyl barrier (TLA7602 - sold separately) easily fastens with Velcro strips in between any 2 steps. This prevents your or your pets from accidentally slipping between steps. The DirtDestroyer boot brush (Tla7603 - sold separately) affixes to the bottom of the steps so you can scrape your shoes before climbing into your RV.

The reason I did not give an excellent rating is because the bolt fisher TorkLift provides is two feet short of what is needed. The door on my truck camper is a touch right of center at the back. The door on the bumper is o the left so a five foot bolt fisher is needed. For the price of this unit I would think TorkLift could provide a longer fisher. I ended up soldering some single strand wire musky leader material to the provided bolt fisher to extend it. Had photos but would not upload.
Mounted this on camper. Because bummer was weak, my husband build a box, attached that ontop of camper bumper, then attached this. Great work around as our camper was so high, without this step I could not teach door handle. Love it!
Trevor W. and etrailer did a great job. Quick shipping. Product as described. Easy install.
Excellent “steps” for a high clearance Truck Camper!
The steps are great. However, the installation instructions were for a different model and the hardware bag was missing the hardware needed for my model requiring me to purchase from a local retailer. Had to call Torklift tech support to clarify installation since the instructions were not for my model. Overall poor attention to detail from Torklift manufacturing.

Huh, that is odd. I will contact the manufacturer to research this information a bit more. Once, I get the correct information I will make sure it is added to the site.
this is very well made. we love it. The only problem we had was that the mounting lag screws and any instructions for installation were not included in the package. Also we had to get angle iron to attach to our camper because we only had about an inch or two under our door to attach it to. But the quality
is very good and they are very sturdy.
I installed the steps on a popup truck camper and after a 7500 mile trip to Alaska and back they worked very well. I had to add a piece of angle under the camper to make the installation more solid. See pics
Everything is as advertised! Very stable, the wide steps are great. Straightforward to install the mounting bracket. The stairs retract easily. Adjustment to territory excellent. Love the glo-in-the-dark patches on either side of every step. Quality product!
The steps are very well built and sturdy. Easy to operate and fit the height of my door perfectly. Make sure you measure and buy the right ones for your height. Only downside is I need to figure out a railing, after a couple beers by the campfire you have to be careful coming back out of the camper.
Good build quality. Used them quite a bit on a few very long road trips including some very poor and bumpy roads with no issues.
Love these steps. one of the best investments to my truck camper. My old folding stairs were the least expensive options, and they were too short, so I kept slipping and falling the last time breaking my old steps. I should have replaced them with these long ago. would have saved me a lot of trouble and injuries.
great stairs. sorry I couldn't see how to delete the incorrect picture of my sister in law
I am very happy with these steps. I bought them a year ago and since then we have used them for 107 nights of camping plus many day trips to the beach and they still work as they did when new. They are easy to deploy and stow away and light weight considering how very strong they are built. I also bought the lock to help secure them from theft. My Thanks, Bert (El Monte, CA)
These stairs replaced the factory stairs/patio bumper on a Northern Lite truck camper. The stairs are a good fit for the camper but you need to account for the basement compartment that has an access door. That means installing the stairs below the "basement" and having a long step up from the last step to the camper. I had a local welding shop attach an intermediate step to the portable stair outside the door that made the transition easier. Not perfect but much better that the original. The stairs are made well and the glow step is useful at night. The rubber fasteners that hold the stairs up and out of the way are great. A great solution for truck campers.
Solid and well built. I mounted on a 4” aluminum L for use on my outfitter caribou lite 6.5. Eventually I will build an aluminum extended tailgate and offset the steps so I don’t need to remove when traveling as they block license plate visibility.
Awesome steps, very sturdy. Had to get bigger lag bolts for the installation. Highly recommend
We really like these stairs. Well built. Makes it easy to get in and out of the camper.
We really do love our steps and so do our camping friends and family. I like that they don't fold up inside the camper and make a muddy mess during the rainy times. It's so much easier to get into the camper since we got these steps. I tell all my camping friends that they should get them!

Fantastic! Those steps allow me to get in and out of the camper without my knees buckling Fantastic. Those steps allow me to get in and out of our fifth wheel with ease, even with my bad knees!
Its a great product and I would highly recommend it.

Im still very happy with the steps.
The quality of the glowstep system appears excellent and I aporeciate the Stow n Go with Landing Gear option. I look forward to installing the steps.
I just purchased the steps for my camp trailer and I am extremely satisfied not only with the product but the service I received from Noah. These steps are very well built and I had to call several times as I had a little issue and Noah was alway's very pleasant, very helpful, and he is definitely an asset to your company. You very seldom find excellent customer service now day's and I am very impressed with the product I purchased and the wonderful customer service. I would definitely recommend this company for great customer service and a very well built product.
Great steps, fast delivery and helpful and friendly staff at etrailer!!

The steps are working great, they are holding up better then expected. I highly recommend them.
The quality is excellent and the ordering & deliver very smooth. The only caveat is that I had to alter (from the included instructions) the method of attaching the mounting bracket to my camper's bumper. The box tube of the bumper was way too long for me to reach inside and insert the bolts provided. As a result, I went to the hardware store and purchase self drilling fasteners.
I purchased the torklift steps for installation on my FourWheel camper. The steps installed easily are high quality and work great
I'll come back with an update after we've used these for a while, but had to comment that the installation was a LOT easier than I'd thought it would be.
We are replacing a four step scissor step. The word 'scissor' is the only thing they have in common! These TorkLifts are just so studly. Strong, solid, wide and 'sticky'.
All thumbs up!

It is wonderful, I have not fallen once sense we put these on. They fold down when we stop and at night they light up. Much better than the one step Artic Fox had on our 2006 camper!
