  For starters, the vast majority of cargo boxes and replacement mounting hardware for cargo boxes will not work on factory crossbars for a Nissan Xterra as they are very large in comparison to the standard crossbar sizes that these cargo boxes and replacement mounting hardware are designed for. Unfortunately, I was not able to find any mounting hardware we offer that will work with the Xterra crossbars. I recommend taking a trip to your local hardware store as this will be your best option.

• Troubleshooting A Sears X-Cargo Sport 20 Cargo Carrier Lock That Wont Turn
  The key for a Sears X-Cargo Sport 20 cargo carrier with a 2856 lock core is the # THKEYN2856. If you've already ordered the correct key and lubed the lock and still can't get it to open it may just be rusted out internally and need to be replaced. I recommend the Replacement Lock Core # SR03807. Make sure the lock core looks like this one to ensure this will work.

According to my contact at Thule, who made the SV cargo boxes for Sears, the complete replacement lock assembly like yours is not available as a replacement part. You may be best served by installing an exterior lock mechanism such as a hasp like # ML702D along with a padlock like # ML40D. You'll need to drill holes and install the supplied hasp hardware to mount it.

You can fully replace the lock by using part # SR03807 and a replacement lock locator, part # TH03808 . You'll need to make sure your current lock resembles this one for it to work. Sport Rack, Karrite, Thule and Sears boxes are all made by Thule, and use the same parts.
