Today, we're going to take a look at the replacement lock and key for the Car Top Cargo Roof Cargo Boxes. This one is a lock number 2802. Now this part will replace a lost or damaged lock on the Car Top Cargo Roof Cargo Boxes. This one is designed to fit the Cargo Box part number CTC-18S, which we do sell separately on our website. It includes one lock core, two keys, and the nut to install it. And as you can see stamped on the lock is 2802, and then on the keys also is 2802.
So the key would just install into your lock, and then you can see just by turning it, and that would lock it into place. Put the key back in it, turn it this way, and that unlocks it. But that should do it for the review on the replacement lock and key for the Car Top Cargo Roof Cargo Boxes, and this is lock number 2802.

I ordered 2 of these lock sets to replace 2 with lost keys in a rooftop cargo carrier. After ordering from other suppliers, their locks just didn't fit correctly nor did they lock tightly. The Trunx brand locks & keys fit perfectly, they locked tightly, and are much better quality than the originals!! Fast shipping from etrailer is always a huge plus!! Thanks etrailer!!!
Having the sears car top carrier for
Years as I have. Certain things tend to corrode get lost or break over time. In this case it was all of the above. So. Trailers has the replacements I needed and to this day it’s fixed and working as required.
I ordered the lock and keys #8202 to replace the missing keys and lock.
The new lock and assembly fit better in the car top carrier
than the original one, so installation was easy and fast.
The new keys I received fit my existing lock so I am very pleased about that too.
Price was best one I could find on the internet, order was shipped and received in a few days, and I was able to track the order while in transit.
Replacement lock for an approximately 25 year old Sears X-cargo car top carrier due to lost keys. I purchased one to replace the forward of 2 original locks just to have the reassurance of a 3rd latch (in addition to the non-locking front and rear clamps. The lock is a perfect match to the Sears lock labeled 2802. Transaction was easy and efficient with good communication from eTrailer. (I'd send you a picture of the looks-like-new carrier, but millennials would laugh that I continue to use an old fashioned item rather than having bough a new one...but $207 saved is $207 earned.)

Its working fine and the fit remains snug. Ill be buying another for the rear lock as well.
These worked fine.
Was very skeptacle about ordering this replacement lock and new latch device for my older sears x-cargo topper, but after installing the combo, they worked just as noted, and as old missing locks. so great products and at a great price.

actually just used for the first time 3 weeks ago, held closed pretty good, lock is a tad loose but it seems to work just fine
I inherited an older roof top carrier with all its gear the only problem was the lock assembly to keep it closed had broken and been lost. I was looking on the internet fora replacement when I acme across etrailer.com's site. Although the roof top carrier was an old discontinued model I was able to find a similar replacement lock assembly. I installation was very simple with only a little modification to the carrier (enlarging the hole for the lock to pass threw. The lock assembly is of very good quality materials which will stand up to many years of usage. The descriptions of the locks and their use is very helpful. Ordering was easy and the delivery time was great. Very pleased overall with this shopping experience.
It done the job
I was a bit skeptical whether this would fit and work as a replacement for our Sears X-Cargo topper. I couldn't find the OE lock, which makes sense because the topper is 20 years old. Also, the replacement lock looks nothing like the OE. Well, it fit easily and works well. Exceeds my expectations, because I figured it would be a nice try and return. Nope, this will let us use the topper for another 10-15 years or until we don't need it any longer.
This lock was a great solution. It would still be a bargain at twice the price!

So it's been over 10 yrs since I needed to use my roof rack cargo box, and of course I could not find its keys. But thx to etrailer... I not only have keys, but a replacement lock should I need it. Could have just ordered a single key, but two keys and the lock was a better value.
I got a good deal on a roof top cargo box. Problem was they had lost the key. This replacement lock allowed me to get it working. Have taken two trips from Georgia to Virginia and have had no problems.
The replacement locks were a exact fit and installation was a breeze. The lock rotations are smooth with no hangups. Nicholas was very helpful and a pleasure to do business with.

As a direct replacement for one of the locks on an old Karrite Voyager luggage carrier, it worked well!

Ordered lock set with keys in case keys didn't work in my existing 2802 lock.
Keys work and I'll keep locks as spares.
