ordered a Thule bike rack skewer. It was hard to find but E trailer had it AND at a great deal. Not only did they have it but the upgraded my shipping and watched to make sure it was delivered....E Trailer.com....is HIGHLY recommended!!
The product is fine. Thule as a company is horrible. I bought this part because I needed just the serrated nut and Thule wouldn't sell me just a nut and I couldn't? find one anywhere. Thanks for having the axle clamp, etrailer. No thanks to Thule for forcing me to buy the whole assembly. No more Thule products for me.
Works better than I had anticipated. No need to re-adjust the skewer when reloading the front forks onto the rack. Just put the front forks on the skewer, pull down on the skewer handle and lock. This is used on our Thule pivoting tandem rack. A bit pricey, but well thought out, built to work properly and secure. That's what I expect from Thule.
There was discoloration on the unit and they went above and beyond to remedy the situation, shipping me a new one immediately with great communication and instructions for returning the original. Great follow-through and left me with the knowledge that I was in very good hands. GREAT company to do business with!
Replacement skewers needed only because we needed more for the fleet of bicycles we have! These keep our bikes safe and secured on our rack!
This was a difficult product to find. I'm from Australia and I had to go all the wy to the U.S. to get it. Fortunately, e-trailer was able to supply and did so in a very prompt and professional manner, via a freight forwarding service.
