Fork-mount bike carrier lets you transport a bike with a 15-mm thru axle on a Rhino-Rack Pioneer platform. Rear carrier with quick release strap holds back tire. Compatible with additional Rhino-Rack thru axle sleeves (sold separately).The skewer (front wheel) end works really well but the rear wheel one is less well thought out; tightening it is difficult because you have to pull down and I'm using it on a flat bed. It might work well mounted somewhere you could pull straight down to tighten it easily.
Mounts nicely to the Pioneer Platform and are really easy to move around, making it easy to avoid hitting your other bikes handlebars. There is not really a great way to lock your bike to them (maybe a large cable lock through the platform?), but they do come with security Torx screws that mount them to the platform, so at least your mounts won't get stolen. Good review for flexibility and they appear to be very strong. Minus one star for lack of good security option. I do like the way the blue through-bolt fork adaptors get locked in place with a set-screw. I've had other racks where this is just a plastic insert that could fall out and get lost. Just make sure you pay attention to your bolt size so you get the right adaptor. Bonus points for the blue color, which makes them look a little cooler.
This is exactly the bike carrier mount I needed for my Pioneer Platform. It can be custom spaced depending on the bike. I ordered a 15mm x 100mm Quick Release adapter from another source (didn't see it as an option on etrailer) to complete the installation as my Mountain Bike has Quick Release forks and wheels. If you have a bike with QR Forks you will need this adapter as well.
