Speaker 1: Today we're gonna take a look at the Hopkins eight foot long coiled night glow tow bar extension cord with the six way round sockets. Now, this kit will let you easily run power from your RV to your tow vehicle. The adapter cord, this will connect a six way round connector that mounts on your RV to the six way round connector that'll mount on your tow car. It does include the two six way round sockets that you'll wire into the RV and the tow car, and comes with the mounting brackets for installing them, too, with the mounting hardware.Now, what's nice on this adapter cord, the two ends here, the red ends, they're night glow plugs which will light up when your taillights on the RV are activated. What's nice about that is it'll confirm continuity of your taillight circuits and it'll also help you find your electrical connections in the dark.It is a coiled cable that'll stretch to fit your needs, keeps the wire from dragging on the ground, and on each end they do use the easy to grip heavy duty finger pulls here that'll help you install it and even remove it.A few specs on this again. Includes (2) 6-pole sockets with mounting brackets.The glow coating started to crack and fall off exposing the wires right out of the package. The replacement was received after a 45 day road trip and we haven’t gone anywhere with it yest. The first was dry and brittle - this one seems much more pliable so we’ll see. Thanks for replacing it, just wish it had made it before we drove from NM to WA and back.thank goodness for duck tape
This set of sockets, mounts and cord are a good price from etrailer. Everything arrived in good condition a few days after placing the order.
I use this to hook up the lights on my tow car to my RV. I like the coiled cord instead of a straight one. The sockets are plastic, but seem well constructed. The contacts are not copper, but steel(?). Hope they don't corrode. I tried the hookup already and everything worked perfect. Naturally, you have to be careful to connect the individual wires to the right terminals. A diagram is included.
To be clear, this review is for the original cord, which must've had a defect in the jacket material, as it literally fell apart. The electrical connection worked fine. Just received a free replacement, (I had to pay return shipping) in a timely manner. We'll see if this one is better.
Came unplugged after being used about 16 cycles, it doesn't take long to destroy at 65 MPH. Will stay with metal plugs from now on.

The products purchased were to allow me to tow my new Jeep Grand Cherokee behind my motorhome. Actually I had purchased a similar setup from you Five years earlier for my 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. Both worked as advertised and I was very satisfied.
I have sent an email about a problem with this order. I will need it replaced, but since I have used this same item in the past, I do not think one defective piece deserves a bad review unless there is difficulty getting the replacement, so I will not review it at this time.
Haven't installed items yet but they look great and etrailer products and service has always been excellent.

NICE WIRING HARNESS AND GREAT PRICE
Looked appropriate but was not needed, as it turned out I needed a 2 into 1 converter for the motor home which I ordered from etrailer, so I returned this item.
The product was satisfactory but the shipping that was expected turned into an additional 5 days beyond what was promised. Etrailer needs better service from their shipping provider.
This is a great cord for towing. The coil is quite strong and doesn't hang down when towing. It stretches easily enough for a straight run back to the toad, but not enough for a diagonal run, requiring repositioning of the plug socket on the back of the RV.
Excellent product. Made my life much easier when towing the Jeep behind the motor home. One quick plug in and the Jeep has power to the battery to run the brake controller, turn, running and brake lights.
Very happy with etrailer for the purchase of a Blue Ox tow bar with needed hook ups for lights, etc and an Air Force One Brake system for my 2018 F150. Crystal did a great job of comparing options and matching pricing from across the web. She offered free installation. The Installer, Shane was awesome, I wanted all hookups hidden by the front plate on the F150 when not towing, Shane came through and then some. Finally, the manager Robert was excellent on follow-up as we had some air leak once we got home. etrailer stood behind everything and follow was exceptional. Very pleased!
Good heavy duty product. Fits the plug on my RV and tow vehicle. It is nice to see it glow when I have a good connection.
