Replaces a lost or damaged fat tire wheel strap for your Thule T2 Classic platform bike rack.The strap is fine, but it's the same exact length as the strap that came on my Thule bike rack - which doesn't fit a fat tire bike. So if you truly need a strap for your fat bike (with a 4.5" tire), this will not fit.
These straps are the direct replacement for the original for my bike rack. etrailer is the place to buy or order parts for your Thule racks. Several years ago, I lost the keys to my locks on my Thule rack. etrailer came through with new keys and locks. Prices are very affordable and shipping is quick. I would definitely recommend etrailer to my friends and family. Keep up the good work etrailer.

Still no problems and works for my mountain bike size 2.5 width as well as an e bike with 4” width.
These are really husky, long straps. But, they do not fit the rear wheel trays on our Thule rack. There is no way to attach them. The ends don't have the round cylinders that fit into the grooves in the Thule rear wheel tray. But, I was able to bolt one of them to the Fiamma bike rack strap I adapted to the Fat Tire front tray I modified to fit the Fiamma bike rack on our Airstream Trailer. Now I have purchased a newer fat tire rear wheel tray with larger strap that I will put onto the existing Thule bike rack with the new Fat Tire front tray. It's all good!
The process was easy and he price was fare. It was eveneasier to assemble and works perfectly with pout bikes and camper.
This is the only place I can find this strap! We have purchased several over the years!!

I purchased these wheel straps as replacements, have had them for about a year they fit and work well, they hold up even better than the original ones as far as being weathered!
Exact replacement I needed.
My bike rack is from 2016. I can't find replacement straps anywhere. Mine age hardened and cracked apart. etrailer was the only place I could find them. This company is a breeze to work with. I wish the straps weren't so expensive, but it's still cheaper than a whole new bike rack - which I'll probably have to get once these straps break.
Your site was the only one that I could be sure that the strap was the correct replacement..etrailer.

Ordered extra long wheel straps so that I can carry my electric fat bike on my Thule T2 classic rack, the straps were no longer than my current straps.. very disappointed.

Its a replacement strap, meaning it replaces the strap that comes with it or upgrade to this. The length is shown on the page...18 inches. Do you have it routed wrong?
Just what I needed for our bike rack.
Shipping was quick.
The Thule T2 Fat Tire Wheel Strap is too short for a fat tire bike. I ride my fat tires at 5-6 psi and the strap does not go around the tire and wheel unless I really force down on the tire I might get one groove to engage. So I have to let most of the air out to engage the strap, then pump it back up to ride. Thule should add at least 1" (2.54cm) to the length. I am sure I am not the only one with this problem. Other than the short strap I do like the Thule Rack.

The strap is 18" long. I had thought that it would be longer. You're still going to have to reroute the strap through the secondary latch point. You won't be able to go full through both latch points with this (or any) strap and still fit your fat bikes.

Well!!!
I am giving four stars because through e- trailer I can order only the strap, rather than the entire assembly, saving quite a bit of money. With new bikes having larger tires and wheels the straps are still too short. I ordered the straps because I’m going to cobble two together to make a long strap to fit my new mountain bike.
Ordered this for my Thule T2 pro XTR and fits perfect!
Pretty quick delivery also.
Didn’t fit my t2 classic that had a missing strap.

Thank you for your feedback. Based on our research with Thule the strap measures17-12 inches and from the hole to the end measures 16-14 inches. Most likely the issue you are experiencing is that you have the correct length strap but it is not routed properly for use with a fat bike. What you would need to do is pull out the current strap you have and then route it through the outside of the cradle.
Product was great, but turns out I didn't really need it. Thule info with the rack didn't really explain how to change the position of the strap in order to fit my fat bike, I had to rely on the excellent video review of the rack that I found on Etrailer side for that. Thanks, but now I have plenty of extra straps.
Couldn't find replacement straps for my Thule 5 year old bike rack. 2 straps had age hardened and broke. I was so happy to find this site. The straps fit perfect and I didn't have to purchase a whole new bike rack! Thank you!
Glad to find these. Fit our Thule T2 pro XTR perfectly.
The orignal straps were cut by thieves stealing our bikes.

Thank you for your feedback. Based on our research with Thule the strap measures 17.50 inches and from the hole to the end measures 16.25 inches. Most likely the issue you are experiencing is that you have the correct length strap but it is not routed properly for use with a fat bike. What you would need to do is pull out the current strap you have and then route it through the outside of the cradle Please see the link below. It has pictures of how the it fits into the cradle.
