Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a quick look at the replacement vacuum check valve. This is going to be the important component to make sure you don't have a back feed of air from one side into the other for your supplemental braking system from Roadmaster. It's going to fit the InvisiBrake and this is going to be for your second vehicle kit. So the diameter that this will fit is going to be a 3/8 inch, so it's going to be the smaller of the check valves that you normally get with that kit.
As far as the overall length, it's about roughly an inch and three quarter.Again, it's going to fit a 3/8 inch diameter. The outer portion is about three quarters of an inch. That's just this portion here. It does have a little arrow, so it's pointing that way or towards the black side, so that's the direction that our air is going to flow so it can't come back towards the clear side. So you want to make sure to check your instructions for which direction that check valve needs to go.
It's very important that the air is flowing in the proper direction so that everything's functioning properly.But that's pretty much all there is to it for our replacement vacuum check valve. This product is very well put together. It is durable, sturdy and strong for a 3/8 inch design. I am using this in a vacuum pump system for boosted brakes on my 63 Ford
Fairlane and it works really well. It is placed between the pump and pressure switch and solved the problem of maintaining proper vacuum and keeps the pump motor from frequent cycling. Check out etrailer. GREAT PRODUCT
