Have you ever used an InvisiBrake before to flat tow a vehicle It's a nice braking system. We don't have to worry about setting anything up. We can get in and we can just start going. And especially it's nice since we have that monitor light that's going to alert us when our braking system's working on the dash and side.Well that monitor light is only going is if we have this patch cable hooked up. But let's face it, this is pretty easy to lose and it's pretty small. So chances are once you unhook it, you can't remember exactly where you put it.
It is very easy to lose or misplace.Don't get me wrong, our patch cord is not going to prevent our braking system from working. It still will work. However, we're not going to have the benefit of having that monitor light in our motor home, letting us know when the brakes are activated.Now our patch cable is going to be identical to the one that originally came with our InvisiBrake. It'll be a male connector that'll plug into our core that's on the front of our towed vehicle. We can run it along our tow bar, and we can plug it in on the motor home side.
Then we'll be able to get that signal whenever our braking system activates.Now the cable's going to be 78 inches long. So once our tow, those arms extend out and gets into the towing position, we'll have plenty of slack. But at the same time, if you're worried about it dragging the ground, what I like to do is if your tow bar has these channels, you could run it through the channels. Or if it doesn't, what I also like to do is just take a zip tie or so and zip tie it to my umbilical cord for my lighting. That way it'll be right there next to it, and it's a lot harder to lose.And now that we have that replacement patch cord, I don't have to worry if my braking system's coming on or not, because I can just look down at my dash and see when the light comes on, that it is activating, and have that peace of mind knowing exactly what's going on with my towed vehicle behind me.So if you lost your patch cable or you're worried about losing your patch cable, you can always pick up a replacement on here at etrailer.com, and you can keep it in your glove box so we have that peace of mind.But again, our patch cord is going to make sure that the monitor light inside of our motor home is going to work on our InvisiBrake, and we can have confidence when we're towing our vehicle down the road.So that'll finish up your look at the Roadmaster InvisiBrake replacement patch cable for the monitor light..

Replace the patch cord for the monitor of your Roadmaster InvisiBrake flat tow brake system (RM-8700).Too fragile for a tow vehicle. First one broke before we got to our first destination and we tried to order a replacement and it shipped too late for for next destination and finally after 6 weeks of not having it finally received one back at our house after we contacted you again and finally received two since we know they are fragile. Feel they need to be reinforced with stronger material.
Delivery was fast and efficient. I am annoyed that I have to order a replacement wire for the Invisibrake system but buying from e-Trailer makes it easy.
The cord is used to patch the motorhome and 4 down towed vehicles brake monitor together. The original was damaged during a trip. Ordered 2 from etrailer. Works perfectly and I have a spare now.
It's always a good thing when you know you braking system is working.
2nd time I have ordered from e trailer. Always great prices and product arrives earlier than originally scheduled. Patch cord works perfect as I had to replace original cord that had worn out.

It is not often that I offer acolytes to companies. Let's face it, companies "should" be in business to satisfy the needs of its customers. This company has exceptions to that. They maintain their website with not only products but instructions and assistance. If they do not know the answer, believe it or not, they actually admitted it and transferred me to someone who could help. They provided fast service and delivery which all should but their followup is fantastic as well.
I just received the package and have not installed it as of yet but I will let all know about the installation instructions. I honestly highly recommend this company to all in need.

Good product. Great service. This cable transmits a signal to the coach every time the brakes in the car are engaged. The cable works well, but is rather fragile and can often get pinched and stop working. They are very inexpensive so order 1-2 extra as a backup.
I ordered this monitor wire to replace the one that can with tow bar as it got damaged. The part was VERY EASY to find using the org. part #. The checkout was quick & easy. The product arrived in a few days using reg. mail & was easy to track using etrailer.com tracking info. I will be ordering from Etrailer in future because of the prompted service. Good service like this is hard to find now a days.
After watching etrailer videos to determine what parts I would need for a second vehicle invisibrake install, I placed a call to etrailer. I made contact with Amy, a rep with etrailer. Amy assisted me in getting the right parts and removed any doubt that I had about me just placing an order without assistance.
I placed my order and to my surprise, within a couple of days the parts were setting at my front door. After opening the box to do an inventory, I was amazed at the proper labeling of all items, and everything I had ordered was there.
I am extremely pleased with the professionalism and knowledge of Amy. I will definitely use etrailer for my future needs.

I recently lost the cable I was using while in transit due to end connectors on my car and Motorhome. Thankfully I always keep a spare in my glove compartment. etrailer is very fast and their products are priced well so they are always my go to guys first and foremost.

After 6 years and a few drags down the highway it was time for a replacement patch cord. We purchased all our towing equipment and invisabrake from E trailer. Best value and service on the internet.
I have not used the patch cord as of this time, however I did check to see that the ends do indeed fit. The fit is a little loose, this is not etrailers problem, the original cord fit the same way. I will be sure to add aditional mounting to secure the cord in place.
As usual with etrailer...fast shipping of exactly the right product and excellent communication. I've purchased several things from etrailer and always had a fantastic experience with them.

My pickup hasnt past me yet We have done a lot of travel over the past year and I am extremely pleased with the RoadMaster products. Our toad pickup is exactly where it should be, behind me. No sway, no problems so I am very happy
