Ryan: How's it going, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the replacement fabric for Solera 84" slide toppers. Over the years your fabric can really take a beating since it's exposed to all those different types of elements, which in turn can get it dry rotted, moldy, discolored, and just worn out. We'll say if your roller is in good shape and still functional, but your fabric is not, this is a good solution to get everything updated and working again properly without having to replace everything. Now if your roller is damaged or you just prefer to replace everything, there is kits available like that here at etrailer.com. Now it may not seem like it, but the slide topper fabric is a pretty important part of your camper and here to help keep your bump out in much better condition.

And that's because it's going to provide us with that layer of protection to not only keep water off from underneath and leaking inside, and off to the edges, but any leaves, debris, anything like that that may get trapped underneath your fabric here if you didn't have it.And what will happen is when all that's sitting on top of your bump out and you go to retract it, it can get jammed inside potentially damaging that seal. Now compared to some of the other old worn out ones that I've seen, once you get your hands on this one, you can tell right away that it's much better constructed, much thicker and it's going to last a really long time. And as you can see, even on a super windy day like today, our fabric is going to remain nice and tight, and keep our slide topper protected. Now the good thing about these is the fact that they're going to be a direct replacement. One end is simply just going to slide in the track in your roller, and the other end is this going to slide in the track on the side of your camper.Now this is going to be a replacement for your 84" wide slide toppers and the fabric itself is going to measure 79" in width.

To figure out what size fabric you need, you're going to measure from the outside of the flange to the outside of the other flange, and you're going to want to choose a fabric that at least has a minimum of 2-1/2" of overhang on top of your slide box. So in my opinion, the slide topper fabric is really going to help us especially against water. That way it doesn't run down past our seal on our slide box and start to damage our camper. That's going to actually be a slick material and it's really going to help that rainwater just bead right off, off to the edge and away from our camper.
