Fortunately, you do not have to consider the projection length. All Solera Slider fabric produced before August 2014 allows for a 58 inch projection and all fabric produced after that date, which is what we carry, allows for a 48 inch projection. This is standard for slide-outs, so you do not need to measure how far it extends out.

We offer both the RV Slide-Out Awnings as well as the Replacement Slide Topper Fabric. You do not need to add 2-1/2 inches when shopping for an RV Slide-Out Awning, like # LCV000163285.

To select the correct slide topper, you simply measure your box width and use that measurement in feet to choose the correct size Slide-Out Awning. The box width is measured on the outside, including the t-molding. See attached photo.

For example, if your box width measures 84 inches (7 feet), it will require a Slide-Out Awning width selection of 7 feet wide (79 inch fabric), like # LCV000163285, which uses the Replacement Fabric for Solera 84 Inch Wide Slide Topper - Fabric Width 79 Inch - White # LCV000455358.

All fabric is 5 to 6 inches shorter than slide topper length (measured from centerline of torsion arm to centerline of torsion arm), which is why adding the minimum 2-1/2 to the box width on each side was needed to select the appropriate replacement Slide-Topper fabric. However, we now include both the Slide-Topper length as well as the actual fabric length, so it's clear which one to order.
