Today we're going to review part number LC286160. This is the Lippert never fail whisper disc lube plate for fifth wheel trailer hitches at eleven and half inch diameter. This lube plate will allow your fifth wheel trailers kingpin to slide easily into the hitch. It does prevent scratches on the skid plate. There's no need for any messy grease. This will help reduce the noise between the skid plate and the kingpin on your trailer, and this is designed of an extra durable modified polyamide construction.
This will out last your standard Teflon lube plates. Does install very easily; you just slip it over the kingpin. This part is made in the USA. Again just to give you an idea, this is what your kingpin would look like on your fifth wheel trailer. What you would do is just slide this up over your kingpin, and then when your kingpin installs into your fifth wheel trailer hitch this plate will be between the pin box and the fifth wheel head to give lubrication and protection. A few measurements on this.
The over all diameter is going to be eleven and half inches, and the thickness is going to be right at three sixteenths of an inch. That should do it for the review on part number LC286160. I ordered the lube plate and a few days later it was on my doorstep. I was so happy with the service at etrailer that I placed another one for a pin lock from them. I definitly feel they are a great company and will be doing a lot more business with them in the future!

Disc will not stay on king pin as others have stated in reviews. I have Lippert conponets king pin should stay up without falling off. Going to keep it as a spare. Have been full timing for over 20 years and will continue to use the cheaper model of lube plate.

No one likes a slipped disk. To be honest we have heard of this happening with this lube disk. What I recommend instead is part # C16722. It has teeth or grooves in it that help grip the king pin.

This is the first disk lube plate I have used. Seems to be doing a good job. Only down side is that it fits loosely and has fallen off the king pin during hookup.

The material is good, but this plate will not hold onto the king pin without some assistance. The designers must have forgot to add something to the lube plate that will hold it onto the king pin. For that reason I would not suggest this lube plate as it would take duct tape or another person to hold the lube plate onto the king pin until you are almost at the hitch.

Purchased on-line through etrailer, quick order placement on B&W fifth wheel hitch. Order placed and hitch shipped same day. Very quick deliver via UPS, everything was received as promised; absolutely no issues as this was a very heavy shipment. Installed hitch in Ram in about an hour as instructions were straight forward and the quality and build of the hitch is an A++.

Disc keeps falling off and I have not figured out how to prevent this from happening nor should I have to ponder that. Other models are slightly undersized and have finger type grips that adjust to the size of the pin. I would not recommend.

Works great other then still held on with tape. Replaceing pen box soon maybe new pen will not need tape to hold on.

I have not towed or hooked up with with it yet. It does not stay up on the Pin the way the old one did. I used gorilla tape to ensure it stays up when I hook up to the Hitch.

I ended up locking in my Turning Point hitch so I dont use the disk plate. My tonneau cover rails didnt allow me to pivot as tightly as I had wanted.
