Lubricating and Preventing Rust on 5th Wheel Hitch and Pin Box

Question:

i have a 2021 grand design reflection with a lippert hitch with the wedge. i am told i do not have to grease the top of the platewhich i would rather not for the mess because of the wedge the hitch does not turn on the 5th wheel plate. my question is what should i put on the 5th wheel plate and the bottom of the lippert hitch so that rust does not get on either one of those places.

I recommend a combination of the Roadmaster LubeMaster Dry Silicone Spray, # RM-747 which goes on dry and minimizes collection of dirt and road grime. Along with use of a lube plate such as the Lippert Never Fail Whisper Disk for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches, # LC286160.
