Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this replacement mounting bracket for your Kodiak disc brake calipers. This caliper mounting bracket will mount to your brake mounting flange on your trailer axle. And it will hold the disc brake caliper in place. This will mount on a seven bolt brake flange that is on your 10,000 pound rated Dexter or Lippert axle.
This is designed for use with the 11.6 diameter one-piece hub and rotor assemblies that have an eight on six and a half bolt pattern and five 8" wheel bolts. This universal design works on either the left-hand or right-hand assemblies. It is made of a heavy duty iron construction so it will hold up well. It's got an e-coat finish to help provide corrosion resistance for freshwater and limited saltwater use. The embossed holes help provide extra thread contact for your caliper guide bolts. So it's going to be nice and secure.
You're not going to have to worry about loose fittings or anything like that between your bracket and your caliper. The side support ensures that the load is carried by the bracket and not the bolts themselves. And this does have a stiffener that's going to help reduce the vibration when you break. So it is going to be a great replacement for those Kodiak disc brake calipers. That's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..
