Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Kodiak driver's side dacromet disc brake caliper for 2000 pound to 3,500 pound axles. Now, this is a driver's side disc brake caliper. It is constructed of cast iron and dacromet plating for corrosion resistance. The cast iron construction of it prevents flexing, keeps your braking torque consistent.

It is a self-adjusting design, so it ensures smooth, even braking. The low drag ability retracts the piston in here further than traditional models, so it gives you less friction, leads to a cooler running brake. Now, the caliper itself will include the single port bleed screw right here, the two stainless steel guide bolts with thread locker on each end for installation. If we flip it over, and see it comes with the ceramic brake pads. And if we pop this one out, you can see it comes with a stainless steel piston.

Now, the stainless steel piston, it is a two and a quarter inch diameter stainless steel piston, which is about 30% larger than most disc brake systems. And because of that, I'll give you increased braking torque, shorter stopping distance. The brake pads we mentioned, they are ceramic brake pads. They'll provide superior performance for more consistent braking. They'll withstand high temperatures for maximum wear.

And the dacromet plating on the caliper provides excellent corrosion resistance for freshwater or saltwater use. Has a 300 to 400 hour salt spray rating. Specs, again. The application. This will fit the Kodiak disc brake kits that we sell separately.

Part number K2HR2D, and K2HRD 35D-8. Again, the axle ratings, these are for 2000 pound to 3,500 pound. The rotor size they use is eight inch, or 10 inch diameter.
