If you want to expand your solar setup to collect more sunlight and charge your batteries faster, this solar panel expansion will add more amperage to your charging output. This kit includes a single 190-watt solar panel with mounting hardware that connects to your existing Go Power system using the included MC4 branch connectors.

High-Efficiency, Monocrystalline Solar Panel

solar cells

The silicon cells are set between a cushioned backing material and tempered solar glass to withstand the elements. The glass has low-iron content to provide exceptional transparency, which ensures maximum sunlight collection. The panel is framed with anodized marine-grade aluminum to resist rust and corrosion. And in optimal sunlight conditions, the panel produces 100 watts per hour.

Easy Connection to Go Power Solar Charging Systems

mc4 connectors

This kit is compatible with several Go Power Solar Charging Systems (sold separately). However, the total amount of amps generated by the panels cannot exceed your solar controller's maximum amperage. The solar panel installs anywhere on your RV roof with included mounting feet and hardware. To maximize sunlight collection, it is important to install the panel where it avoids shadows cast by objects, like an air conditioner or vent. The panel is wired in parallel to another panel using MC4 branch connectors.

  • Availability of Go Power Rigid Eclipse 190 Watt Solar Panel
If I understand correctly, you linked to the Go Power Rigid Eclipse Solar Charging System with MPPT Solar Controller, # GP97MR but instead of the kit, you want only the panel without the controller. For this, you will want to select the Go Power Rigid Eclipse Expansion Kit, # GP47MR. This is the 190 Watt Solar Panel that is in the kit you linked to and does include the installation hardware and MC4 branch connectors.

  • Recommended Solar Panels For RV Use in All Weather & Conditions
So there are a couple really good options for solar panels for the roof of your RV for all types of elements, depending on the power you need. For both wind and all weather, I highly recommend rigid panels over flex panels to resist the wind. And for a controller, an MPPT is necessary, particularly if you are in colder weather, as this type of controller is much more efficient and optimizes the charge your batteries get. Here are the options for you: - 200 Amp Hours of AGM/100 Amp Hours...

  • Do You Have the GoPower GP-ECLIPSE-200-E 200 Watt Solar Expansion Kit?
No, I am sorry we do not. The closest thing we have is the 190 Watt Go Power Rigid Eclipse Expansion Kit item # GP47MR.

  • Is Drilling Actually Required to Mount Solar Panel to Roof of RV
Hey Kenneth, this is a great question but what we have found is that currently more people are preferring to use VHB 3M tape followed by an adhesive sealant like the # AL43KV instead of drilling. This gives you a permanent install that is really solid that doesn't require having to find bracing to drill into and all that comes with that. We do not carry the VHB tape at this time though.

  • Recommended Inverter and Solar Panel for RV
For a 30-Amp service RV with the Progressive Dynamics Mighty Mini AC/DC Panel and Converter/Smart Charger, # PD4045KA installed, I recommend the 1,000 Watts - 12V Progressive Dynamics Pure Sine Wave Inverter w/ Transfer Switch & Remote, # PD94FR. I really like the build quality of the Progressive Dynamics products and this component has an integrated transfer switch that will automatically change from inverter to shore power when you hook up to a power pedestal at the campground. The fixed-mount...

  • How to Determine if Additional Solar Panel Can Be Added to Solar Controller
Hey Ken, what it comes down to is what the controller is rated for and whether or not adding an additional solar panel can increase the output of it. The Morningstar Duo charge controller SSD-25 that you have is rated for 25 amps which is quite a bit more than 190 watts so you could easily add an additional panel like the 190 watt # GP47MR to what you have now and the controller would be able to take full use of the additional power generated by the second panel.
