Today, we'll be having a look at the Fulton Repair Kit for Fulton Channel Tongue Couplers with Hand Wheel Latch for 2" to 2-1/8" balls. Part number F520801. Here's what our repair kit comes with. We have our new hand wheel latch, our new roll pin to secure our latch to our threaded rod here. That way you can't take a latch all the way off. Your spring, your ball catch, and then your ratcheting mechanism to make sure that your hand wheel doesn't back off. The reason you want one of these kits is in case your coupler we're to become damaged.
This will save you time and money, so you can just repair the necessary parts. Over time, these threaded prices here can become damaged. Your hand crank could become difficult to move. Most times, those couplers are welded on, so you have to spend more time and effort. If you don't have a welder, it makes it a very difficult repair process.
This repair kit will work with Fulton 308 series Channel Tongue Hand Wheel Couplers with a 2" to 2-1/8" ball. We have a coupler here off of our trailer. We'll show you how to install replacement parts. Normally, we would have to remove our roll pin right here. We've already removed ours. We will skip that, and we'll show you how the rest of it goes.
We'll press up on our ball latch on the bottom, push down on the ratchet mechanism, spin off our hand wheel. We'll drop out everything from the bottom. We'll set that aside. We'll take our new ball latch, drop in our threaded rod, attach our spring. Once we have that set up, I always like to do this part here first.
It makes it easier. Take our ratchet mechanism, drop it on in. You can hold it in place, while we raise up our assembly. Take our hand wheel, thread it on. You can hear our ratchet mechanism work as we turn it. That's what tightens our coupler down onto our trailer ball. Tighten this down all the way, so it easily install a roll pin. You see our roll pin hole sticking out now. Take our pin, get it in position, and we'll tap it in with a hammer. We have it all the way through now. This roll pin, as you see, when you uncouple our trailer from our tow vehicle, that roll pin stops our hand crank, so you can't take it off all the way and lose your pieces. Got this for a older trailer that has a Fulton ball hitch which the original's locking tab finally broke and the spring went missing. One feature I like about these types is the means of removing the "guts" of the hitch I did not use the rolled pin that came with it instead I use a clip style cotter key that I can remove and remove the "guts" to prevent theft.

Good works and fits well
This replacement kit was so easy I let me wife do it , and I got the supervisor for once! Work great when installed
Worked out well and has held up.
I had to modify the product because the hitch is not a fulton brand but same style. well....try and find this style coupler for a discontinued or bankrupt company. damn near impossible. after my mod, it works perfectly and saved me hundreds of dollars!!
A great easy to use web site, part ordered was identical to OEM.
The product worked great but what really impressed me was the customer service. The folks who helped me with this product spent far more time and effort on getting me the right product than I would have expected for a sale this small. They were persistent, diligent, reliable and courteous.

The part worked great.
First, I thought that these where no longer made since the trailer is from the early 40's and is home made. Even the axle is unique (cannot find information on it or about it) I am restoring this trailer to be my light utility trailer for beach and picnic gear and minor trips so I wanted to make sure the hitch devices are good and it fit greatly minor differences to the old one though may order another as a spare since I remove these parts from the hitch and put a lock (double anti theft protection) when leaving the trailer somewhere.
I inherited an old 1969 boat and trailer. I planned to tow it to a shop for repairs when I discovered that a few of the parts on the old coupler were either rusted or missing. I was thrilled when I saw that I could replace the required parts at etrailer.com. I located a coupler on the website which matched the coupler on the trailer. A few days, later I received the kit in the mail, and it even came with a picture of how to assemble the unit. It fit on the old trailer and worked great! Thanks for stocking the old stuff that we all need from time to time.
The product is an exact replica for a hopelessly rusted part on a 64-year-old box trailer I built long ago. I was ecstatic to find it since otherwise I would have had to re-design the entire front end. The trailer is still being rebuilt but this product is scheduled for action soon. I purchased this to replace a broken one on a teardrop camper trailer. It arrived on time and after about 30 seconds had it installed on the hitch without any issues. Easy ordering process and prompt delivery with no issues at all.

As expected, no concerns.
Shipping was great to Ga. The Kit That I needed was 61-0801. The only 1 listed was 52-0801. But I able to used parts out that kit to make the repair. Had to reuse the bottom ball coupler. The spring was hard to install on this type to get in. I compressed the spring with small cable ties to installed, then cut ties after installation.Works Great!! Thanks Again etrailer.com.
PS. only reason I didnt give it 5 Stars. My tongue was Fulton 34-318

I had misplaced the coupler for my old trailer and didn't really believe I would find a replacement. But was pleased when I found "etrailer" and they had exactly what I wanted.

The product is fine. I am not unhappy about the order, shipping or the speed at which I received the item. I apparently am looking for a universal replacement handwheel latch for a 2" ball as this one will not fit my trailer tongue because it is not a Fulton tongue....
Back to the drawing board.

I havent had to use it, as it is on a hitch on a Jeep that is only used in emergencies. It worked when I bought it, so I see no reason why it shouldnt operate just fine. It still looks good!
