Replacement Coupler vs. Coupler Repair Kit

Question:

Adam R, Thank you for your reply to my recent email regarding a hand wheel latch for a 1-7/8inch hitch ball. You responded that the T4045400 hand wheel latch is available. I wonder, however, if another option is to buy the 2inch to 2-1/8inch hand wheel latch and use it with a 2inch hitch ball. Im asking because Im trying to sell my trailer and am trying to anticipate queries from possible buyers. Attached is a picture of the hand wheel latch. Thank you for your help.

Since you want to sell the trailer, and since the current coupler is a bolt-on type, I suggest you replace the coupler with a new one. You add an appealing "selling feature" to your trailer (the brand new coupler) and one like 2-inch # CT-3001-Z (for 2-inch wide channel) or # CT-3003-Z (for 3-inch wide channel) will cost you LESS than the repair kit.
