So much better than the straight cable that just ends up hanging unless you coil it up. I am using it on a 5th wheel. It was such a pain before having to pull the pin from one of the hitch mounts to latch the cable to. Now with the clip on the end it is as easy as can be.1098953

I bought the longer break-away cable per the advise of others. Although my 14' trailer calls for the shorter cable, the longer one actually stays coiled together much more nicely & looks much neater while towing. If it's needed, my opinion is that it's not going to matter much whether the emergency trailer brakes come on 4 feet away or 6 or more feet away, if you ever do have the misfortune to stretch the coiled cable out.

I love this breakaway cable. I had one on my travel trailer. When I upgaded to a 5th wheel the long cable that came with the trailer caught on the hitch and pulled out activating the emergency breaks. Luckily I was just backing it into the yard. This cable keeps it from hanging.300335

The coiled cable works much better than a regular straight cable as it stays up against the under side of the frame with no sagging plus the red color makes it easy to see.1092108

Like it much better than a straight cable. It stays up out of the way, and stretches out and comes back in place. No more dangling cable to get caught on things.

Old one was worn and frayed. Nice replacement to make sure emergency brake system will work properly.735328

Received the coiled breakaway cable quickly as expected from etrailer. As with many other folks the standard cable wound up frayed from dragging and the coiled wire seemed like a reasonable answer. It is easy enough to install. Now I am waiting for our next outing to give it a final grade. Expecting good things.673267

Excellent! Way better than stock trailer ones.

This is exactly what I needed to connect by breakaway switch to the truck. It keeps the wire tight and will not drag on the ground. It is also read and serves as a visual reminder. Too bad it does not include one of the plastic switch keys. 80671

After a year of use I have been very happy with my Fastway Coiled Breakway Cable. No deterioration of the red plastic covering has been noticed. I find that it is necessary to keep the pivot point in the Carabiner clip lubricated well to make it work smoothly. Other than that, no problems.680256

Initial order was for a 4 foot long cable. Discovered that it was stretched way too tight. Ordered the 6 foot long cable, works just fine. Measure the distance before ordering. But it is more convenient that the original cable. 607791
