Used this to replace the stranded breakaway cable on my fifth wheel I was always concerned the stranded cable would become tangled in something while towing. This coiled cable stays up off the floor and in-line with the breakaway control.1517961

My experience with etrailer was good from the perspective of the cooperation and pleasantness. However, even though I was clear on the tow bar I had (Blue Ox) and the vehicle I was towing (2005 Dodge Dakota) when the tow package came and the shop I had installing it got to the end of the installation, it was discovered that the wrong pins were sent, i.e. they wouldn't lock in place - too short . At first we couldn't determine what the problem was, so I called etrailer back. Was told those were the correct pins. Finally called Blue Ox directly and the rep immediately told me (after I gave him the PN) that those were the wrong pins. Without me asking he offered and did send two replacement pins free of charge. They worked perfectly.1320654

Red plastic covering has faded some, works great

I'm extremely happy with this product so far! The stock takeaway cable was so long it drug on the ground and frayed it in half, so this was its replacement! Upon installation I had to lightly trim the plastic on the plunger that goes into the brakeaway cable box for the caribeaner to fit inside, but after 2 minutes with my pocket knife the caribeaner fit perfectly inside! I towed my pop up around town to air up the tires and get propane and I didn't have any issues with the new cable, but the true test is this weekend when I tow the pop up 2.5/3 hours away from home. I am very confident that this brakeaway cable will last and perform how it's supposed to! I'm a very happy customer!303080

I bought this cable to replace the cheesy OEM breakaway cable on my trailer. This one has plenty of uncoiled length that I won't worry about it pulling out when turning, but the coiled length is short enough to keep it from sagging and dragging. The included clips are very small, so I replaced them with some larger ones I had lying around the house so they'd fit what I'm clipping them onto.167152

Product was easy to install and appears to have weathered the elements. I cannot comment on how it has worked since it is an emergency brake cable, which (thankfully) I have not needed to use.735269
