This installation tool is required to install the replacement top snaps originally included with your Extang snap-on tonneau cover (EX7028 - sold separately).Product works as advertised, best price I could find fast shipping( although ups sent it to Minnesota and then to Michigan and then back to Minnesota so a slight delay but not your fault) would buy from you again!
I ordered replacement snaps for and installation tool for a tonneau cover. Product came right on schedule.
Instructions were good-- Snaps were easy to install-- project completed in an hour!
I would definitely order from etrailer.com again.
Inexpensive, but works perfectly using a pair of channel lock or vise grip type pliers. It only takes a minute to do a snap, so doing an entire cover would take less than an hour.
This tool surprised me. I did not realize the punch and die attached to a pair of vise grips. I assumed you would use a hammer to set the rivet. Luckily, I had an ancient Sears Craftsman 10 inch adjustable vise grip tool and easily placed the two dies on the jaws. Worked like a charm. It was very easy to replace the lost snaps on my Extang tonneau cover. I wish I purchased them sooner!
The Extang replacement snap tool and snaps worked perfectly and I could not be happier. Thank you Etrailer for the great product.

Great was exactly what I needed
Works fine. Replaced ones which were mi ssing.
not bad for the price.
rebuilt all the broken snaps and still have leftovers, so i'm happy
