Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Dexter electric trailer brake assembly with parking brake. Electric brakes are easier to install and they offer more user control when compared to hydraulic brakes. They require only an electric brake controller, which is sold separately. It's available at etrailer.com if you're in need of one. They do not require an actuator or hydraulic lines. The manual parking brake lever is located right here.
That is included. Also, it comes with two adjuster plugs. It comes with this one right here. That's designed to cover up the access hole to keep dirt and grime out of the assembly. Then it also comes with a spare.The bolts are already preset in, and the nuts are included as well.
The product's made in the USA. It is designed to fit most standard hub and drum assemblies, including Dexter, Lippert, and ALCO. This is designed for the left hand or driver side of the trailer.Taking a look at the measurements real quick, we'll start with the diameter. That's measured from outside edge of this pad to the same point on the other side. Put a ruler on there and you can see that that measures 7".
Then the width is simply the width of that pad, which is 1-1/4". Again, 7" by an 1-1/4" wide. The mounting flange bolt pattern, it's a four bolt design. This is designed to fit wheel sizes of 10", 12", and 13". It's designed for 2,200 pound axles.
