Note: All Dexter 12-1/4" electric brake assemblies manufactured after 2000 use the cast backing plate. Old style brake assemblies with the stamped backing plate will require the 048-009-00 (DA74FR - sold separately) left-hand adjuster.

Today we're going to take a look at the replacement left hand adjusting screw for the Dexter 12-1/4" electric brakes that have the cast backing plate. Now this part will replace the left side adjusting screw for your Dexter 12-1/4" electric brake assemblies that have the cast backing plate, which is the new style. Basically all the Dexter axle 12-1/4" electric brake assemblies manufactured after 2000 will use the cast backing plate. This is designed to fit the brake assemblies with the width sizes of 12-1/4" x 3-3/8, 12-1/4" x 4" and 12-1/4" x 5".Now if you do need the driver's side application or the right hand adjusting screw, that we do sell separately. It's listed on this product page as a related product. That's part number D864FR.
Also, one note is the old style brake assemblies that used the stamped backing plate, they will require different part numbers and again we do sell those separately. The left hand for the old style would be DA74FR and the right hand adjuster would be part number DA84FR. And again, both of those are sold separately. But that should do it for the review on the replacement left hand adjusting screw for the Dexter 12-1/4" electric brakes with the cast backing plate.
