For your 2014 Ram 1500 I recommend using the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class III - Efficient # D13503 as a direct oil cooler instead of a transmission fluid cooler. Another option is to use the Derale Combination Transmission/Engine Oil Cooler Core - 12-13/16" x 10-1/4" x 3/4" # D13322 which will give you the double function cooling. Can Replacement Plate/Fin Cooler Core D15851 be Used on Older Derale Cooler with Welded Inlet/Outlet
According to my contact at Derale, their replacement plate and fin cooler core, part # D15851, will fit a range of their coolers including both passive and active (fan-powered) Atomic-Cool types. The coolers that can use this replacement core are all Class V models: D15850, D15950, D15450, D15405 and D15451.
