Video Transcript for Bulldog Winch Plug and Play Wireless Kit Review

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Bulldog Winch Wireless Kit, Part number BDW20212. It's a simple plug and play installation. We'll just remove our remote cable, we'll grab our receiver, and we're going to line it up with the notch there and the 4 holes, plug it right in, bring the knob up, around to lock it in place, and we've got it. The remote does include a battery and it features a nice clip here on the backside so we can put it on our belt. It has your 2 button operation, your cable in and your cable out. It has a 45' range, as you can see I'm quite a distance away and I'm not going to have any problem operating the winch. It's going to work with Bulldog Winch part numbers 15017 through 15021.

That's going to complete our look at the Bulldog Winch Wireless Kit, part number BDW20212.

My new winch is perfect for loading and unloading our race car in a enclosed trailer. The nylon cable is a blessing, no more cable twisted all up in the floor it rolls up like rope to be put out of the way with no random strands to cause injury, we enjoy the wireless feature also.

by:

A great addition to my winch. I cant imagine putting my car in the trailer without this remote

by:

FAST SHIPPING!!!! Great service!! .Awesome prices!!!! We put the cordless remote in race trailer yesterday just in time for the race today

by:

Works great when loading and unloading car in/out of trailer

by:

Excellent product and great addition to my race car trailer. Very quick delivery!!!

by:

This is exactly what I was looking for, Would not hesitate buying from etrailer again. extremely fast shipping

by:

My first remote worked fine for a few years, then failed. Since I don't know if I myself did anything wrong, I am trying again. While it was working, it made loading and unloading so much easier, since the corded remote does not reach far enough. I recommend replacing the battery in the remote every year.

by:

Great feature. Allows freedom to observe loading from all angles without dragging a cord around.

by:

Worked great. Easy hookup and go.

by:

Properly Described. Quality looks good. Fast shipping. Have not used yet.

  • Does Dutton-Lainson Electric Winch # DL25200 Power Switch have to be Held to Power Load In
The power switch on the Dutton-Lainson winch # DL25200 is a spring-loaded switch that must be held to power in the load. It was designed this way to reduce the chance of running the motor too long when under load by accidentally leaving the switch on. It is also a safety feature should your hand come off the switch. I recommend going with the version that has a remote, # TW4015. The remote cable for this winch is 10 feet long. If you need a longer remote cable I recommend the Bulldog winch...

  • Could Bulldog Wireless Remote Kit for Bulldog Winch 3400 and 4400 Work on Big Tex Trailer
The only way the Wireless Remote Kit for Bulldog Winch 3400 and 4400 Trailer Winches # BDW20212 could work on your Big Tex dump trailer is if the trailer had one of the following winches installed on it: # BDW15017, # BDW15018, # BDW15019, and # BDW15020

  • Recommended Electric Winch For A 1,000 Lb. Jetski
I do have a few options for you to consider but we don't offer a winch that meets all of your preferences. The winch we have closest to your needs is the Bulldog Winch Powersports Series ATV Winch part # BDW15010. This winch features a synthetic rope, wireless capabilities, pull strength of 2,000 lbs, is weather resistant, and has a rope length of 40'. You will also need the Wireless Remote Kit for Bulldog Winch 3400 and 4400 Trailer Winches part # BDW20212 to operate the winch wirelessly....

  • Wireless Winch Remote For 3-Pin Versus 4-Pin Connectors
The Replacement Wireless Remote Control # K2WR100 is designed to be used with the Replacement Winch Control Box for Detail K2 Snowplows # K2WCB. As you have a 4-prong connector you may need a controller like the Bullydog # BDW20212.

  • Recommended Electric Winch With Wireless Remote
I reached out to my contact at Dutton-Lainson and they are not aware of any aftermarket company who's wireless remote works with any of their products. Their engineers have actually tried to make this a non-option for safety reasons. So, unfortunately there is not a wireless remote option for this winch. If you are wanting a wireless winch option, I recommend the Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch - Synthetic Rope - Hawse Fairlead - 3,400 lbs, # BDW15018, and you can use the wireless kit # BDW20212...

  • Is a Fuse Required for the Bulldog 4,400 Lb Winch Trailer Winch
In regards to the Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch part # BDW15020, the remote hooks up to the junction box which has power leads that run to the battery. The junction box houses a circuit breaker so there is no in-line fuse needed, simply hook the power leads up to the battery and that's it. The power wires are 6' long. There are covers over the contacts to prevent short circuits. In regards to the Wireless Remote Kit for Bulldog Winch 3400 and 4400 Trailer Winches part # BDW20212, this uses...

  • Winch Recommendation for Loading Flower Carts in an Enclosed Trailer
The Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch # BDW15017 that you referenced is an excellent choice that I believe you will be happy with. It has a line speed of 15 FPM (feet per minute) with no load and then a line speed of 5 FPM at the full 3,400 lb capacity. If you check out the attached video of us using this winch to load a golf cart you can see how quickly it pulls the line in. A wireless remote is also available as part # BDW20212 if you want more flexibility in where you are when you are using...

  • Wireless Remote and Synthetic Rope for the 4,400K Bulldog Trailer Winch
In order to operate the Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch part # BDW15020 wirelessly, you will want to use the Wireless Remote Kit part # BDW20212 which is a complete plug and play kit that comes with everything needed for installation. For a 50' synthetic rope compatible with this winch, I recommend using the Bulldog Winch ATV Synthetic Rope part # BDW20095. This is the same 50' long x 6mm diameter rope that comes with the winch. I have attached a review video of this winch for you.

  • Recommended Boat Winch, Trailer Jack, and Bunk Boards for 27 Foot Carver Boat and Trailer
For your 27 foot Carver boat, the weight you referenced will put us into only electric options. Typically for boats, there is a ratio of 2:1 on the capacity of the winch. Our Super Heavy Duty Hand Winches fall slightly below that ratio, so a nice electric winch will be your best option. I'd suggest we go a little bigger than that ratio to account for steeper inclines and other variables with the Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch with Wire Rope, # BDW15019. It's 1.8 hp, permanent magnet motor...

  • Recommended Electric Winch With Remote Control to Load and Unload Generator
A great option for an electric winch that is going to allow you to use a wireless remote is the Bulldog # BDW15017. This winch has a 1.5 HP motor with a 3,400 lb static load capacity, which is more than enough for you to load and unload your 400 lb generator from your trailer. You would be able to use Wireless Remote # BDW20212 along with this winch; it's a plug and play system that has a 45 foot radius. I've added links to video reviews of the winch and remote for you to take a look at...

  • Does the Winch Remote Control Module Need to Be Mounted on Top of the Motor or Can Extension Work?
The Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch - Wire Rope - Roller Fairlead - 4,400 lbs # BDW15019 will allow you to use a thick enough gauge wire like you would find with battery cables to move the inch remote 4 feet away from the winch and still utilize the 20 foot lead and rocker switch on the remote control. If you want to use a wireless remote part # BDW20212 is available separately and would remove the need to change the transmitter control position. You can use the Bulldog Winch Front Wiring...

  • Is This Bulldog Winch # BDW15018 Capable Of Hoisting 600 lbs Of Dead Weight?
This Bulldog Winch # BDW15018 has a static weight capacity of 3400 lbs so it will be plenty strong to lift 600 lbs of dead weight. Since you're hoisting something up you may want to get the wireless remote that will work with the winch # BDW20212. This way you don't have to worry about another cable and remote.

  • Mounting 3.4K Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch on a Boat Trailer
Basically you would remove the winch you have now and bolt on winch # BDW15018 in its place. Although you do want to have as straight of a line pull as you can so wherever the bow eye is on the boat you will want the opening on the fairlead on the winch to be at the same level. That really goes for any kind of winch. Whether or not that requires any modification or additional parts will vary among different applications. Since this is for a boat trailer I do recommend the synthetic rope...

For your application, I recommend the Bulldog Winch Heavy-Duty Series Off-Road Winch - Wire Rope - Roller Fairlead - 15,000 lbs, # BDW10012. This has a strong 7.2 HP series wound motor. It has a free-spooling clutch that ensures fast rope payout and rudeces wear on the motor, but it also has an automatic racheting pawl brake. The Heavy-Duty Series winch ratcheting-pawl brake prevents unintentional rope payout. This brake - located inside the gearbox - is constructed of 2 spring-loaded...

  • Recommended Winch To Load 2000-lb Raft On 14 X 8 Trailer
The winch you came from, part # BDW15020 would work great for the raft and trailer you said you have. The line pull for this winch is 10.6-ft per minute when pulling 2,000-lbs. This has a 7/32-inch wire rope that is 55.7 ft long and this winch has a 1.8-hp motor. If you want a wireless remote you can use up to 45-ft away I recommend part # BDW20212.
